Quick eligibility question for the team or admins regarding Venezuelan participants/founders in Meta VR Start Developer Competition 2026 hackaton Venezuela isn't explicitly listed under the non-eligible regions in Section 2(b) of the official rules (unlike Brazil, Quebec, Cuba, Iran, etc.). However, given OFAC compliance standards, I want to be 100% sure before putting in the dev work. If a Venezuelan developer participates: Are Venezuelan individual residents eligible to enter and claim cash prizes directly? If not as an individual, is a Venezuelan founder participating through a US-registered LLC (with a US business bank account) fully eligible to submit and receive prize payouts? Would appreciate any clarification on this. Thanks!

Venezuelan residents cannot participate, it is sanctioned by USA (OFAC):

AFAIK, Venezuela is not officially listed as a supported or eligible country for major Meta hardware shipping, device usage, or standard developer and creator programs like Meta Quest or Horizon services. Also, you don't appear to be a member of the Start program.

Just to clarify: I’m currently submitting my application for the Meta VR Start program, so that part is in motion.

However, my core question remains unanswered for the official Meta staff/admins:

Since Venezuela is not explicitly listed under the ineligible regions in Section 2(b) of the Official Rules, what is Meta's official policy regarding payout compliance?

Specifically:

Is an individual developer residing in Venezuela eligible to receive prize payouts directly?

If direct individual payouts are restricted due to OFAC/banking limitations, would submitting as a US-registered LLC (with a valid US business bank account and EIN) qualify for full eligibility and prize distribution?

Would really appreciate a direct confirmation from an official admin or the hackathon management team before we finalize our build structure. Thanks!
