Permission check in meta ai forces itself before allowing permissions completion

My app has been working all day during testing and after a needed update and rerun from android studio it wont allow the camera connection permission through on the meta ai app. It skips over it and forces it to toggle the understanding that it's a 3rd party app. 

I'm wondering what  it  could be. The most likely culprit I  have at the moment is needing to reinstall the displays developer mode software on the meta ai app. It's downloaded and been stuck on transferring for about ten minutes. I don't know if I'm stuck in a loop or if that's causing the issues.

Any advice  or pointers? Its my first app.
