Rift/PCVR: recently published apps missing from Meta Horizon desktop store search

Posting this because I've spent about a month on a support ticket and I've now isolated the problem to something that isn't specific to my app. I'd like to know whether other Rift/PCVR developers are seeing the same thing.

**The symptom**

My PC app is published and publicly live. The PDP loads fine for logged-out visitors, and it shows in My Apps as owned. But it returns nothing in the Meta Horizon desktop app's store search — not on the exact title, not on any partial or keyword variant.

Photo House VR PC — app ID 1792133525093173

https://www.meta.com/experiences/pcvr/photo-house-vr-pc/1792133525093173/

**What I tested**

In the Meta Horizon desktop app's store search:

1. "Overview" (Rift title, published 2022) — returns results normally.

2. "Portal Rush" (Rift title, app ID 26986461677664836, published around late 2024, PDP live at https://www.meta.com/experiences/pcvr/portal-rush/26986461677664836/) — returns similar games, but no exact match. **This is not my app.**

3. "Photo House VR PC" and every partial variant I could think of — nothing at all.

**Why I think this is an index problem, not a metadata problem**

The pattern tracks with publication date rather than with metadata. Older Rift catalog entries are searchable; recent ones are not. Step 2 involves a third-party app I have no control over, so this can't be explained by my keywords, genre, category, or title formatting. I've already been through all of those — including renaming the app to add spaces to the title, which made no difference.

I also noticed my PDP declares its canonical URL as the /pcvr/-scoped path, while older Rift listings (Meta's own First Steps, for example) declare the unified /experiences/<slug>/<id>/ path. I don't know if that's meaningful, but it would be consistent with recent Rift SKUs living only in a legacy index that the desktop client's search doesn't read from.

**What I'm asking**

- Can other Rift/PCVR developers check whether their recently published apps return results in the desktop app's store search? Please reply with your app and roughly when it was published — if this correlates with publication date across several apps, that's a much stronger signal than any one of us reporting alone.

- Can anyone from Meta confirm whether recently published Rift/PCVR SKUs are being added to the index the desktop client's store search queries? This is a different question from whether the PDP is live, which support has confirmed for me several times already.

- Is there a known issue here? If Rift store search simply isn't maintained for new submissions any more, I would genuinely rather be told that directly so I can plan distribution around it instead of spending another month on tickets.

My open support case is #00010458. If you have an open case on something similar, post the number — a previous round of this on the old boards suggested that linked case numbers get more traction than isolated ones.

Happy to run any additional tests that would help narrow it down.

So when you search on the store web page, there's a little drop-down box that defaults to standalone Quest games. You have to click it and select Link PCVR.

Then...

In both the Link PC app and the web store, the "New Releases" filter only shows one app, Open Blocks, which was released 25 July 2026.

Interestingly, your link points to v0.08 of Photo House VR published on 13 July 2026, but the store page link points to v0.5 published on 30 June 2026. EDIT: oh, it's actually showing the standalone Quest version even though the filter is set to Link PCVR!

I am talking about the meta horizon app, that my app does not show up. not the store online! the store works fine. Sorry I should have been more clear.

Hmm. You could try reporting the issue on the Meta Quest Developer Feedback Center. This creates an "Investigation" and it does get actioned one way or another. I've had moderate success reporting various issues there.

I found the following report below. It's a similar problem, but not quite the same issue as yours:

Low Discoverability on Meta Store | Meta Horizon OS Developers

No luck, nothing from support, it's been close to a week now, I have been talking to support for over a month :( Still no search results  on the App, for Photo House VR PC. No results at all.  The online store with a web browser shows search results. but not the Meta Horizon link, Meta Horizon link results  are zero results, including the app section, Media, Creativity, that the app should be in.

Scammer/spammer using multiple accounts to make fake posts promoting bogus "non-government" courthouse sites and bogus "drivers license" scam/phishing sites. They were active a few days ago and seem to have returned.
