Unable to receive a verification code on Whatsapp

I have recently changed passcode on my phone and when I tried to enter a new passcode my iPhone kept on rejecting it even though it was correct one. My phone got disabled and my data got erased after several attempts. I have managed to setup my phone again and was able to register most of my previous apps.

But with Whatsapp I am unable because it treats this phone as a new phone and it is expecting me to have an old phone that I was using my whatsapp on. However, this is the same phone. According to the message it is sending a verification code, sms and voice call to my old phone. I have restarted my phone, uninstall and reinstalled whatsapp. I have tried all possible options for the past 5 days without any success.

How can I resolve this issue because AI Generated response is failing me?
