VR Preview stops working when I enable MetaXR plugin

Unreal 5.5.4 installed via the Launcher.  My Quest 3 is connected via link cable and looks good.  I go into a new UE VR Template and VR Preview looks great.  Then I enable the MetaXR plugin and restart the project.  But once I do that, when I click VR Preview, the preview window pops up but nothing happens.  No connection to the headset.  When I look in the headset, it's still in the link cable grey room, ready to go into VR.

In all the videos I've watched, they simply install the MetaXR plugin, enable it, and go to work.  I can't find anything on why the VR Preview would stop.

Using the latest version of the MetaXR plugin: 78 (1.110.0).

    Yeah, I have all that set up except the Meta Quest Developer Hub (MQDH), which I've never had to install before.  Like I mentioned, the VR is working great.  Meta Link app is connected via the Meta Link cable and is green across the board.  When I do the VR Preview with the MetaXR plugin installed, the VR is great: 90+ fps.  And then as soon as I enable the MetaXR plugin, the VR Preview freezes and doesn't make a connection to the headset.

    I have run into the same problem. I had to create A UE world without nanites to get it to work.
