Brand new meta devloper

Hi I am brand new at meta world developing. I’ve got the Meta world creation software on my gaming laptop and I’ve been experimenting with it but it’s far more complex than I’ve realized it would be. I often times can see how I want things to look but just can’t place things in the exact way I’d like them to be. Any advice on meta world developing would be much appreciated I’d love to get to a point where I can feel like one of my worlds is good enough to publish.  So far most of them are just a splattering of different items and symbols all spewed around.
