Question

I need help with my quest 3s

Balright chat. So my Meta Quest 3s broke on June 16th, about 5 months ago, I still haven’t gotten it to work, I need help, the tracking is so f-ed up I literally can’t look around at all and the controllers are stuck in some sort of update that has been at 0% for the last 5 months, I factory reset it, it worked for about 30 minutes, then the screen zoomed out and spun in a circle till it just said “Finding position in room.” as always. Sometimes the headset will turn itself on its own I factory reset it like 3x more to see if ANYTHING would happen… nothing happened, now it’s stuck in the tutorial menu or whatever.

note: You know how when you first open your quest out of the box, and in the controllers, there’s this little plastic thing that you have to take out in order for them to work. Yeah, it keeps saying that those were in there.

note 2: I have had my Quest 3s for about a year and a half, and before yall say it was sweat, it couldn’t have been because my room that I play in is usually at an always CRISP 65° farenheight

note 3: If you guys think the games I could’ve been playing might be the problem, here’s the list.

1. Animal Company VR (I played this every day)

2. Downshot

3. BoneLab (Man I miss this)

4. Blade and Sorcery Nomad (GAWD DAYUM I MISS THIS)

Uhhh, that’s all the games.

I think that’s everything I need to say. PLEASE HELP IN DYING WITHOUT MY VR IT WAS SO FUN PLEASE HELP MEEEEE!!❤️‍🩹

Sometimes the headset will turn itself on its own

Mandatory auto-updates, dude.

I factory reset it like 3x more

You know how when you first open your quest out of the box, and in the controllers, there’s this little plastic thing that you have to take out in

So, your headset was factory reset and now you have to set it up again from scratch. The controller tab screen should time out after about 10 minutes then you can skip that part and continue setting up your headset. If you don’t, the headset won’t work.

I play in is usually at an always CRISP 65° farenheight

So fkn what. You can still sweat with a hot headset strapped to your face while playing Beat Saber and stuff no matter how cold the room is.

Controllers aren’t working at all

Do they blink when you put in fresh batteries?

Have you tried taking out the batteries for 10 min or so to reset them?

You can try if using a hairdryer without heat - like shown in the video - can fix that.

High-activity games can make you sweat even in a cold room; perhaps you should buy a breathable facial interface to avoid that.
