I did found a solution, here is the text to the post I posted on reddit

If anyone has trouble connecting to the meta app but the glasses can connect to the Bluetooth phone. Make sure you pick the right type of glasses. For example I have the blayzer optics, so there's an option to pick that type of glasses, it should connect.

Hi there dreyychn,

We've just come across your post regarding the issue you are experiencing with the pair of Ray-Ban Stories not pairing with the Meta AI app, so we'd love to lend a hand. Please attempt the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. The glasses are charged and turned on: Slide and hold the power switch towards the lens until the notification LED starts blinking white, then release it. The white LED will blink while the glasses turn on. When it turns solid green, it is ready to continue.
  2. Bluetooth is enabled on the phone.
  3. The glasses are unpaired on the phone. If on iOS, go to the phone's Bluetooth settings. Tap the info icon next to the glasses from the list of devices. Tap Forget This Device. This step isn't necessary on Android devices.
  4. The device is in pairing mode: Slide and hold the power switch for 5 seconds and release when the light blinks blue. The glasses will appear in the app when they are in pairing mode, which can take up to 10 seconds.

If Ray-Ban Stories still does not appear in the app, complete the following steps:

  • Turn the glasses off and back on again.
  • Try quitting the Meta AI app and reopening it.

Please let us know if this has resolved the issue you are facing with connecting your Ray-Ban Stories to the Meta AI app, as we want you to have the best possible time with them!

I have the same problem with a Samsung phone.   I have a pair of cheap AI glasses that work flawlessly with their app (HeyCyan)

Has this problem been resolved?  I'm having the same problem with my meta glasses.  They pair to my phone but not to the app.

Go to your Bluetooth settings in your phone and forget the device.

Then put the glasses in the case, close it and push the casebutton for five seconds (led should become blue).

Pair the device via the Meta AI-App.

You're welcome

I’m experiencing exactly the same issue.

I’ve just purchased a fourth pair of Meta glasses (Oakely HSTN), and I’m completely unable to pair them with my iPhone.

Previously, I had three pairs connected in the Meta AI app (Oakley Vanguard and two pairs of Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 and 2), and everything was working perfectly since then.

To troubleshoot, I removed all my glasses from the app, started from scratch, reinstalled the application, and even reset my Bluetooth settings. Now, I can’t pair any of my glasses anymore, not even the previous ones that were working fine. So at this point, none of the four pairs can be paired.

However, they still work perfectly over Bluetooth on their own.

Any idea what could be causing this or how to fix it?

thx

I also have the same problem. I've tried every single solution I can find, and did them myself and none of them work. So far, I can only connect to my phone's Bluetooth. If anyone has any solutions, PLEASE SHARE. I really don't feel like returning these glasses

Hello Guys,

I have the same issue. I have the first génération of Ray ban stories. All was working well and I left for months the sunglasses in their box. When I tried to used it again, the app has changed and I had to download Meta. Thus as all of you I can pair the glasses with the phone and use Bluetooth but can’t Connect to the app. I did all suggested in this section but nothing is working. It seems like my glasses are Connected to a différent account and i cannot restore them.  I am stuck on the app, after pairring with my phone when i enter my facebook account nothing is working. Maybe there is a différent way to restore the glasses on the first génération of ray ban stories.
can you please assist? I even went to the rayban store in Barcelona airport and they have no solution, the sunglasses are too old for them.

Same issue — Blayzer Optics Gen 2, iPhone, still unresolved. Adding another data point since this thread’s still active. Bought Blayzer Optics Gen 2 (prescription, from LensCrafters) — glasses show up fine and connect in the phone’s Bluetooth settings, but the Meta AI app finds them during scan and then fails at the actual pairing step. Already correctly selected “Blayzer Optics” as the model in the app (the fix that worked for some people above didn’t apply here). Also tried: forgetting the device in both Bluetooth and the app, force restart, full factory reset via the physical button sequence, reinstalling the app, checking Bluetooth/Local Network permissions in iOS settings, toggling airplane mode, no VPN. Nothing worked. LensCrafters confirmed it as a defective unit and is sending a replacement. Posting here in case Meta support is tracking pattern reports — this doesn’t seem like a one-off.
