I'm having a similar issue to others where I can't get either the case or glasses into pairing mode. The glasses have the consistent white blinking led. Powering off or on doesn't help, if I open the arms, it goes to white / red blinking light for a minute or two, then red. The buttons on the glasses don't respond or help. It doesn't care where the power switch is at and it blinks white inside the case as well. The case was fully charged but the glasses won't power or pair. I broke my phone recently and have been trying to pair them to a new phone so I can get the footage off that I took with them. I've tried asking AI, searching the Meta Help AI, reddit, facebook. At this point, I'm going to leave them out and try to get them to run out of battery as I can't seem to get it to respond to resets and power downs.
Hi !I recently bought a Garmin Fenix 9 PRO and an Oakley Vanguard. I need to install the Meta AI app into the Garmin Connect IQ Store and it´s currently not available for the Fenix 9 PRO model (it seems Fenix 9 is available).I know this is a quite new model launched weeks ago. Is there any estimation about when Fenix 9 PRO will be available in the compatible devices ?
I’m using Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 glasses in the United Kingdom. Everything is updated and connected correctly, but Visual AI does not work. When I say “Hey Meta, what am I looking at?” the glasses respond: “This feature is not available in your region.” I have already completed all troubleshooting: firmware/app updates, force restart, unpair/re-pair, diagnostic logs and account checks. Meta AI Support confirmed that my US-purchased glasses are compatible in the UK, there is no hardware region lock, and there are no account restrictions. They said the Visual AI feature has simply not yet been rolled out to my account. Has anyone in the UK had the same issue?
Hi everyone, I’m experiencing an issue with the Meta AI app on Android when trying to pair my glasses. Issue: When I navigate to AI Glasses > Add AI Glasses > Meta Glasses, the app screen goes completely black and gets stuck there. Details: Glasses Model: Meta Glasses (Not the Ray-Ban model)Devices Tested: Android 14 and Android 16 (Same issue on both)Tested on iOS: The pairing flow works normally on an iPhone, so this does not appear to be a hardware issue with the glasses. Troubleshooting already attempted (none of these resolved the issue): Uninstalling and reinstalling the Meta AI appChecking and granting all app permissionsPerforming a factory reset on the glasses Has anyone else encountered this issue on Android, or is there a known fix/workaround for this? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I have Wayfarer Ray-Ban Meta AI (version 2) and I can't seem to get the messaging to work. Following the setup in the app, I leave the app and go to settings/bluetooth/metaAI. There are no messaging options when I press the information icon. They simply are not there. I cannot get past this step in the setup (see screen shot). Can anyone tell me what I am missing?Thank you,Dave M.
Hi team, Adding another data point to this issue (see thread 1383935): users without AI glasses get stuck at the "Select Glasses" screen with no way to reach the Meta AI assistant. My case: 1. Installed the Meta AI iOS app and logged in with a Meta account — the Meta AI chat worked normally for a full day. 2. After logging out and logging back in, the app forces the "Select Glasses" (选择眼镜) first-time setup. There is no Skip / "Set up later" button. 3. Tapping the X at the top-left only shows: "退出设置?你需要重新登录Meta 账户并重新开始设置眼镜。" Exiting setup forces me to log in again — infinite loop. 4. Deleting and reinstalling the app does not help: fresh install + login lands on the same screen. Expected behavior: users without glasses should be able to skip glasses pairing and use the Meta AI assistant in the app. Request: please add a "Skip for now" / "Set up later" option on the Select Glasses screen. Device: iPhone (iOS), Meta AI iOS app (latest from App
Hello — I'm a longtime Meta hardware customer writing about two first-generation Ray-Ban Stories that your software made unusable, plus a discontinued Portal. What happened: I own two pairs of Ray-Ban Stories (Gen 1) — a Black Wayfarer Transitions (RW4002) and a Blue Meteor (RW4005). Both worked until your app migration. Since the Meta View to Meta AI transition, the app forces a firmware update during setup that always fails with "Try Again, we ran into a system error," looping forever. The glasses can't be paired. This isn't wear and tear — it started with your 2026 app change. This is a known issue hitting many Gen 1 owners, documented on your own forums since June 2026 with no fix and no staff response: - https://communityforums.atmeta.com/discussions/ai-troubleshooting/rayban-stories-will-not-update-to-use-with-app/1374901 - https://communityforums.atmeta.com/discussions/ai-setup-pairing/my-ray-ban-stories-cannot-be-paired-with-the-meta-ai-app/1381551 - https://commu
What do I need to do when my glasses will not pair?
So after having my glasses for close on a year I have always had English UK voices and then they disappeared. But wait ! They came back - for four days only - and now they have gone again. I have tried EVERYTHING and the option for English UK is missing from the list. I can have English US, India or Australia. Has anyone got this problem. I have contacted meta support numerous times and was told I would get a what’s app message - but that was five days ago.
I am tying 1000 times to pairing Meta vanguard😢😢😢 it has shown me get instructions and I did it 1000 times and it still the same to has problems to pair I will return😢😢
in Meta AI app, click on add glasses-> Ray-Ban Meta Optics-> it show only Coming Soon.Seeing all the other models load perfectly while only the Optics line stays locked makes it completely undeniable that this is an internal app configuration mistake on Meta side.Region: Singapore.Tried install the app in 3 different devices and they all show the same.P/S: Optics line officially available in Singapore since May 2026:https://about.fb.com/news/2026/04/essilorluxottica-and-meta-launch-ai-glasses-in-singapore/
This started about 2 - 3 weeks ago. The MetaAI app (iOS) does not see the Vanguard glasses. The glasses power up and connect via bluetooth fine. I'm able to play music on them and make a phone call if I use the Music and Phone apps on the phone. The temple controls (single and double tap along with volume up / down swipe do not work. Using any "Hey Meta" commands results in the glasses saying the Meta AI app is not responding and to make sure its running on the phone (it is). I have tried the following:1. Unpaired and repaired the glasses. 2. Powered the glasses on and off (press till a blinking red LED). 3. Restarted the iPhone 4. Uninstalled and re-installed the Meta AI app 5. Erased and reset the glasses The glasses are on the latest firmware (at least there are no updates available for them). The MetaAI app is on the latest version and iOS is up to date. This is on an iPhone 17 Pro. Every time - the glasses work for a few hours, then the nex
Hi team, I wanted to report an issue with the Meta AI iOS app for users who don't own AI glasses. Steps to reproduce:1. Install the Meta AI app on iPhone and log in with a Meta account.2. The app goes straight to the "Select Glasses" screen (in Chinese: 选择眼镜), showing options like "Ray-Ban Meta Optics" and "Ray-Ban Stories".3. There is no Skip / "Set up later" button. Tapping the X at the top-left only shows a dialog: "退出设置?你需要重新登录Meta 账户并重新开始设置眼镜。" with options "退出设置" (Exit setup) / "取消" (Cancel).4. Exiting setup forces me to log in again, so I'm stuck in a loop and can never reach the Meta AI chat assistant. Expected behavior: users without glasses should be able to skip glasses pairing and use the Meta AI assistant in the app. Request: please add a "Skip for now" / "Set up later" option on the Select Glasses screen during first-time setup. Device: iPhone (iOS), Meta AI iOS app (latest from App Store). No glasses owned. Region: Taiwan. Thank you!
Meta Oakley Vanguard glasses show a blinking white light on the right side, blinking continuously without stopping or changing pattern. The charging case is at 100% battery, but despite following all the recommended troubleshooting and pairing steps, I still can’t connect the glasses. Could you help me resolve this?”
My Meta Ray-ban Glasses Gen 2 indicator light keeps blinking white continuously and the device appears unresponsive. Steps already tried:Powered off the deviceHeld the camera button while powering onWaited for the red indicator light, then released the camera button (factory reset procedure)Fully drained the battery, then recharged the deviceAfter the reset attempt, the white blinking persists with no change in behavior.Questions:What does a continuous white blinking indicator mean?Is there another recovery method beyond the camera button reset?Could this indicate a hardware failure or firmware issue requiring a replacement?
**TL;DR:** The Meta AI app never finds my glasses on two different Samsung devices running One UI 8.5 (Android 16). The same glasses paired first try on an iPhone. Looks like an OS/app-level issue, not hardware. **Setup** - Glasses: Ray-Ban Meta Scriber Optics (Gen 2) - Phone: Galaxy S24 Ultra, One UI 8.5 (Android 16) - Also tested: Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, also One UI 8.5 — same failure - Meta AI app: latest Play Store version **The problem** The Meta AI app's scan returns nothing. Not "can't connect" — the glasses simply never appear in any of the pairing flows the app offers (case button, the "no case?" alternative flow, glasses worn, glasses in case). Meanwhile the system Bluetooth menu *does* see them and pairs them as a regular headset (calls/media). So the glasses are advertising normally and the radio works — it's specifically the app's BLE scan that finds nothing. **Confirmed the glasses are fine** They paired on an iPhone on the first attempt, worked normally, then I unpaired an
I bought a pair of pre-owned Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer (Gen 1) glasses, but they are linked to the previous owner's account. I can't reset them; pressing the button five times does nothing, and the orange light doesn't come on. A forced restart also yields no results. What should I do in this situation?
Hi, hoping someone here or a Meta rep can help — support chat just bounces me between Meta and Ray-Ban with no resolution. What happened: Unpaired glasses from iPhone via Bluetooth settings before starting anything. Started standard factory reset (close right temple, press capture button 5x until solid orange, hold until flashing, release). LED blinked white/orange continuously for ~10 min, never reached solid green/off. Power switch OFF did not stop the blinking — LED ignored the switch entirely. Performed multiple forced restarts since (switch OFF → hold capture button until LED turns solid red AND fully goes out → switch ON while still holding → release). Results have been inconsistent across attempts: Some attempts: LED goes red, glasses power off completely, then power back ON by themselves within seconds, resuming white/orange blinking. Other attempts: LED goes red, powers off completely and stays off; manual power-on afterward results in either white/orange blinking again, or
when I first brought my glasses I was able to change the voice over to Judy Dench. Basically I didn’t want an American voice and I didn’t like the miss pronounced dialogue of the AI voice. It now looks like I’ve taken an update that what was once a nice thing to have is now either chargeable or disappeared altogether. Does anyone know how to get a proper English speaking female voice over on the glasses or have I now got to fleeced again by paying out money for something that used to be free?
I am trying to set up my Ray-Ban Stories glasses on a new phone, but I cannot complete the setup because the glasses are still linked to my Meta account and do not appear in the Meta AI app on my current device. Here is the problem in detail: I no longer have access to the phone where the glasses were originally paired. The glasses do not appear in the Meta AI app on my current phone, even though they are still visible in my account/profile. When I try to connect the glasses, I get the error: "Ray-Ban Stories is already linked to Meta AI. You can only link one Ray-Ban Stories to your account." I cannot unpair the glasses from my side because they are not shown in my current app. I have already tried to factory reset the glasses, but the issue persists. I also tried to contact support through the official form, but my glasses' serial number is not being accepted, so I cannot submit the request there. Could you please help me unlink / remove these Ray-Ban Stories from my Meta account s
It start it last nite I was recording an accident I seen , the audio seems kinda faded and then this morning I was recording when I noticed that the audio wasn’t being recorded I did everything I reseted the meta gen 2 and it still won’t fix the problem, if anyone dealing with the same issue? How can I fix this problem?
Is there any news on when features like Quest voice commands and Meta AI for Meta Ray Ban glasses will be available in English speaking countries other than the US, e.g. UK?Is this a technical problem (detecting different accents) or a legal one (navigating privacy concerns in other countries)?I so want to buy some Meta Ray Ban glasses but there's little point in doing so while their functionality is crippled outside of the US. Since Quest voice commands have been denied to us for so long, I don't see much point in buying the glasses just in the hope that they'll eventually be unlocked. Let's just say I'm not holding my breath... please prove me wrong 🙏 😄

Previously, I was able to pair and update my Ray-Ban Stories through the Meta View app. Now, with the Meta AI app, it seems impossible. I have followed all the troubleshooting steps you suggested, but I still haven't been able to pair my glasses with the app. I NEEED TO FIX THAT
Hello, my meta glasses will not connect anymore. They keep popping up with an error no matter how many different things I try. I’ve gone through the list of recommended solutions to no avail. Please help
