0.4.0 SDK Not Rendering?

I just dropped in the new SDK and it does not seem to be rendering. Completely black screen on both desktop and Rift.

Any ideas?

Thanks

John

Thanks for this thread guys! My Game screen was just black or gray until I disabled DX11 and tried deleting and importing the new OVR lib several times.

I was so happy to finally see my project in 1080! It looks amazing.

Is there an easy way to move the game screen to the extended desktop? Usually I use Win + arrow_keys to move windows around, but the Game tab doesn't respond to that.

Sadly it seems not possible to get editor Output on Direct Display Mode

Correct, the editor currently requires extended display mode.

The main menu wants to access the camera settings which have not been defined yet. To fix go to script execution order, set the ovrmainmemu script to be last (eg 100).

Thanks for this workaround. We will fix the ordering issue in the next release.

i got rid of this error by completely removing the old rift OVR folder and importing the new unity prefab

Anytime you upgrade, I would recommend the following steps:
    1) Restart Unity to release any plugin resources the editor may be holding onto. Those would prevent you from importing a new plugin.
    2) Delete the OVR folder and all Oculus files in the Plugins folder.
    3) Import the new package.

Couldn't see any rendering either. Turns out you have to use the Game View in "Free Aspect" ratio -_-
    Hope this helps someone.

    This!!!
I spend hours turning all settings on / off, reimporting and everything etc.
Then I found this post and IT'S ALIVE!

    Thanks a lot!

I'm using a DK1 at the moment. I did get it to function by turning off DX11 and playing on a second monitor.

Its a super sharp image compared to 0.3.2 Preview but I am now getting bad shadow issues.

E.g. with any sort of shadows, they don't appear correctly on the objects in the scene, e.g. terrain. The shadows move with the camera.

I was having similar problems. My game window was completely black and I had to move the window every time to update. The solution was to disable the Direct 3D 11 on Edit --> Project Settings --> Player.
