Don't Upgrade To Unity 4.3 Yet

Drash and I both ran into the same issue after upgrading to Unity 4.3. The game runs fine in the editor, but when it is built it runs very slowly. This isn't specific to Rift projects either. I get the issue even on the AngryBots example project. I posted on the Unity forums and hopefully someone can find a solution (http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/210543-4-3-Standalone-Builds-Really-Poor-Performance). Until then, it would be best to stick to 4.2.

4.3.1 is out. Does anyone know if it solves this issue?

Windows Editor/Player: Fixed rendering performance regressions in 4.3.

    Should be fixed.

I'm downloading it now and about to test it, hoping to roll out a Mac build of Lunar Flight today along with a host of bug fixes and performance improvements that should gain upwards of 15 FPS.

[EDIT] Problem is definately fixed! :)

The next release of LF will be out today, also integrates 0.2.5 and the removal of manual calibration.

    Thanks for the excellent news!

I know it's a pretty small thing, but right now I'm actually most excited about being able to control flare appearance/disappearance speed haha. I always thought it was way too slow.

I didn't see a specific mention of the performance issues in the fixes, anybody who was getting this issue before able to check if its still occurring?

I updated, it seems to work OK. Did some quick benchmarking in Tuscany and it appears solid.

Now that I've got my huge task out of the way, I should be able to look into this. I'm really hoping I can take advantage of these new features. AA-RT should could be a big deal!

Ugh.. I'm finding even the latest patched release of 4.3 to still be buggy as hell.. I can't even close the Unity Program half the time without a task-manager.. Frame-Rate is patchier..

and still can't get the SS to work straight with deferred or forward lighting yet.

It's looks like i'm calling 4.2.2 home for quite some time.
