Fix for Deferred lighting, skybox, realtime shadows, fov

I wanted to use deferred lighting in unity so I came up with a solution that avoids dealing with the lens offset in the matrix
and thought id share it here..

Install OculusUnityIntegration.unitypackage first then install the following files over it.

No longer advised

If you want to find the edits I have made so as to integrate the code search for the string c06
Three files are affected.

After installing the package I recommend you increase the fov on the camera controller to 130
And enable deferred lighting in player settings.

I think I'm going to have to call you a hero! It's kind of amazing after all this time to see normal skyboxes working, and otherwise messed up effects now working. Oculus should hire you! :)

I've yet to try it but it looks like a nifty little change!

It gives me an error, though.
It seems like it removed EnableOrientation from OVRCameraController.
    Strange...

i am thinking the patch is intended for 0.2.4 (?), but you could probably move over his changes to what you're using.

drash is right this is based on 0.2.4. There are not many lines of code to change if you need to port it to a different version.

    This looks promising.

Can you update to 0.2.5 since that is the latest?

Ahh ok for some reason I had 2.0.4 as the latest. I have updated the tweek to 2.0.5 compatibility.
Also I have locked the scale modifyer so the black borders stay at a minimum and don't enter your periphery vision no matter what fov setting is used.

The most natural fov to use now for minimal distortion is 130.

The download in the first post is an updated link.

I just tried this. It seems to work, but I feel like the resolution looked low quality.

Is that just a side-effect or am I just imagining things?

    Are you using DK1?
Are you using a resolution higher then 1280 x 800?
If you are using Dk1 try using 1680 x 1050.
