New Oculus Rift not detected with Unity build

Hello,

I brought the new oculus rift this week (Europe) for working with Unity3D

Unity 5.4.1f1, Oculus utilities 1.8.9 installed.

When I'm working on the Unity Editor, everything is working fine, oculus detected, camera head tracking working fine.

But when I build a .exe, nothing works, the Oculus Rift is not detected.

conf :

Dx11
GC : Gtx970
Proc : i76700

The oculus is working fine with the oculus market place.

Any ideas?

hey man the same thing was happenening to me, so I research all day to fix this problem, and I found that my folder and the .exe have some special characters, so what i did was to to generate a new build in a new folder without the special characters, and that fix the problem. hope this helps.

We recently upgraded our game from Unity 5.4.2p3 to 5.6.1p1. One of our users is now reporting that his Oculus Rift is no longer recognized when playing the game through Oculus.  If he plays the Steam version of our game (which uses OpenVR), his Rift is detected just fine.  I created a simple test app to make sure it wasn't something specific to our game, and confirmed that VRDevice.isPresent is returning false for him.  Any suggestions for things we could investigate?

FYI - It turns out the user in question somehow had old Oculus runtime binaries on his system.  A complete uninstall and reinstall of the Oculus software resolved the problem for him.
