The Public Test Channel (PTC) Quest v72 is starting to roll out for Meta Quest 2. The issues that some users encountered with the previous update have been resolved with this build.

Check to see if your headsets updates to: 5127210.11250.150 or higher. You can head here to learn how to check for software updates.

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v72:

1) For issues: Go to our Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v72" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v72 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately.

Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

Smile_like_you_mean_it to disable PTC you need to go to the mobile app and switch it off and on and back off. And do not enter the general update area when doing it. Do it afterwards

More UI changes (for the worse):

Opening the App Library after closing by clicking on "X" has a tendency to open in the "All" view rather than the view it was closed on, e.g. Apps.

This is a throwback to when default view and filtering stopped working in the settings, a setting since removed.

The "X" should be moving to where  your menu bar is located, below the app library. Is it there with the new UI change?

On YouTube live or Facebook live, the chat does not appear in a pop-up in the game. It used to be shown but since 2 days ago it no longer shows

Hi, I have a problem with quest 2, they were such a firmware, I think it was minor v51, because when I turn it on I see the oculus sign, not the meta one. When they were set up, they immediately started updating to the new firmware, and now they only display a screen with a dead robot, and they are not an intelligent computer. I tried holding the power button for more than 30 seconds and then in the qdloader 9008 display device manager and the LED indicator does not light up. What can I do to solve this problem?

    I just noticed this:

Home Environment resets to default position and view every time you enter.

Load a Home Environment e.g. Desert Home.

Move to a different position. Change view. Launch or enter an app e.g. Theater Elsewhere. Quit the App.

Position and view in the previously set Home Environment will reset to default position and view.
