PTC v63 Release Thread

Thanks everyone for all your feedback on our previous builds, several bugs were identified in PTC v62 and the solutions for some have shipped, while others are on the way!

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v63 is starting to roll out soon for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3.

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v63 jump on over to our Get Help board and search for any existing thread, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v63" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v63 issues too.

It's best if you can post each bug you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately.

Share your impressions and let us know if you see any issues. Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

I still have tracking issues and everything behind me disappears as well..

This doesn't happen though if I cover the sensor like I can play games everything as long as the sensor is cover The middle sensor..

I've noticed sometimes just plugging in the USB makes it happen and just connecting over airlink or VR desktop..

I'd hate to do a factory reset for it not to work but it looks like I won't know till I do..

Also I thought using the app to turn off debug mode with disable stuff in a settings it's not changing anything I still have experimental and all that

Like I haven't recalled have no re-enable it or disable it since I've been on PTC v62

What happens when y'all toggle the debugs switch on your device?

Ok did a factory reset slide loaded v63 ..

Did another factory reset did another side load still sensor in the middle causing problems I don't understand why nobody else is having a problem..

Like I was playing a game got the update shut it off to update

came back on and had the problem ever since when I cover it with a piece of tape the problem goes away..

Still on v63 I suppose I'll have to wait and hope the next update fixes it and hope it doesn't take forever

MrBIO You said you were having no problems with v63 right ?

Do you have hand tracking enabled if not will you enable it see if you have problems? It seems to work fine with hand tracking disabled...

jollyjesus I have hand tracking always on. No issues with that for me.

Same with me, no issues on hand tracking.

Since I didn't notice any issues, should I leave it at version 63 or manually rolled it back

Anonymous If you want to leave PTC and have no issues, I'd suggest waiting for the full v63 update and then leaving. Leaving right now will cause a rollback and will factory reset the device. Leaving on full v63 shouldn't do that and you would keep your data.

I am not sure that it won't do a factory reset on the full version, but logically it shouldn't.

I opt out of PTC awhile ago but nothing change.
