PTC v68 Release Thread

Thanks everyone for all your feedback on our previous builds, several bugs were identified in PTC v67 and the solutions for some have shipped, while others are on the way!

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v68 is starting to roll out soon for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3.

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v68:

1) For issues: Go to our
Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v68" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v68 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

My quest 2 was updated to V68 and I am not on PTC. I wonder why Meta would push this update to my device!? Since updated, my right controller stops working all of a sudden and I need to pull out the battery to get it work again. Last night both controllers stopped working. From what I read I am afraid that they will totally stop working. Should we stop using our headsets totally and wait for a fix ? It's strange that no one from meta is giving any advice or explanation for this!

Ya'll do realize that it is possible to do many things on your headsets without the controllers, right?

Honestly, who knows what the heck Meta is doing right now? Since they refuse to communicate, even with us PTC/Beta testers, your guess is as good as mine.

Layout app needs to be measured in inches (in), not in foot (ft)!

Under the settings, there's the option to switch from Metric to Imperial. The problem is the Imperial measurement is in foot which is not practical. Everytime you measure a bed, furniture, or a poster, it's usually done in inches.

Go on Amazon or IKEA and look at furniture or wall art and you'll see that everything's measured in inches.

I did as you suggested few posts above and the controller disconnection problem I was having didn't happen for the past 24 hours! I will of course keep my fingers crossed and report back if it happens again!

Side loaded applications cannot be removed from being pinned to the dock. My sideloaded Spottily is stuck there for me now, the 3 dot menu doesn't have pin or unpin.

I just received my 3rd update for V 68. I was never on PTC V 68.
