PTC v69 Release Thread

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v69 is starting to roll out soon for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3. 

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v69:


1) For issues: Go to our Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v69" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v69 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

        Has anybody experienced the meta vision ai yet? I've been watching for it and finally got v69 ptc and still no meta vision ai

          I have noticed in PTC v68 and PTC v69 when I put my Q3 on to charge after a play session the power LED is either white, off completely or flashing orange. I don't know what that means but I think it happened in the release v67 as well.

          I posted an issue in the get help forum and it was deleted.  I'm curious if there is an option to enable/disable multiple windows or is this something that's going to be forced upon us?   Also when does Meta AI come to our headsets?  I'm in Missouri, United States.

            Pass through seems to be getting much better under PTC v69, there is less warping, I can see my watch and phone etc.

              I'm on PTC and didn't get anything visible from v68 to test.....and now we got v69 and don't got that. So much for testing anything lol. Basically still on v67 features....

                My notes: There's some nice QOL improvements, though some features like going to standby seem redundant, I mean it does that when you put it down to change already. The thumbs up or down popup that happens every time I exit out of quest link is disruptive, I wish I could turn this off since I am going in and out of quest link several times a day. I also test with Virtual Desktop, SteamLink, and other dev or tracking apps and don't need or want Meta app to take control of everything all the time, since it doesn't play well with more than 1 launched app on the PC at a time (whereas I am often using VRCFT, slime server, SteamVR, and a console app simultaneously). The audio and visual settings improvements are nice though I've also noticed a drop in fps and network lag that wasn't there before. I have a VR air bridge and my other WiFi6 router is a few places from me, with my PC on the same 1 Gb network, so it's not a network issue, it's definitely something on the HMD to PC side within the Meta app going awry. This happened on v68 also so it's only a recent bug that I hope will be addressed soon. I've sent in multiple reports.

                  I am jelly. I am still on 68 and have not yet gotten the v69 PTC. I confirmed I am still on the PTC program so not sure what is holding me up from getting it! I am so excited to play with the new multitasking features!
