PTC v74 Release Thread

i have noticed a lot issues tend to be connected with horizon worlds 

PenguinInChicago  Looks like it could be a problem with your Wifi and/or a local server issue.  Might also be partially caused if you're using any unsupported 3rd party mods like MQO. 

I can't really comment on Horizon Worlds because I stopped using it.  Too many screaming kiddies, lol!  In any case, probably worth filing a bug report via Quest quick menu report icon.  Cheers.

Rapid flashing orange light when trying to charge...

Charging is incredibly slow now

Battery drains quickly even while charging

How can we roll back to v72?

You can't roll back to v72 anymore. They have a public release of v74.

If you drop from the PTC, it is possible they will roll you back to the current release version of v74. But that isn’t guaranteed . 

My MQ3 was v74 but after automatic Update
it changed v74.1020 
from here I have issue with Quick setting Volume Control Slide UI
when Quick setting menu is open and I tried to Slide volume control it doesn't change volume 
but physical volume button is working but slide never changed even I use volume buttons on the device
when I close quick setting menu if I press volume button on the device I can see floating volume control menu
and it worked

and also passthrough <--> immersed environment even I click from quick setting menu or on the Dock menu I can hear immersed environment back ground sound but it stuck in passthrough mode or opposite mode but this one is not much happening just some time like this

and night mode it changed UI from v74.1020 it moved to next of brightness control of quick setting menu
but sometime even I click it doesn't work

final bugs what I have 
When I turn on MQ3 it shows passthrough mode and Home menu
but its freeze and if I move my head it just show frozen and never changed only thing I can do is just turn off

madebyrsh  Have you tried doing a factory reset?  Also afterwards disable auto updates and update during shutdown options.

TomCgcmfc  Yes I did factory reset, and Safe Mode Boot and Im not PTC user I don't use any other experimental feature but its same thing happen v74.1020 but If I turn off Automatic update after factory reset My MQ3 is staying on v74 and v74 is perfectly fine
and I  just i keep talking with Meta support by emails and what's app 
they keep say they will give new refurbished MQ3 but I don't think its Device problem its OS problem
so I wanna wait until there next update....

Anyone else seeing any controller issues? Like becoming unresponsive, lagging, and complete reboot is all that fixes it temporarily... Anyone else?

d0gg If your main goal is a "just working" piece of hardware, stay away from PTC!
They test features, bug fixes and workarounds, that aren't available in retail channel (RC).
No PTC = no problems... I've done this way for years and it works 😁

stereoman Maybe what you say about problems is true, maybe not... no one can know!
But be aware that millions of people (25mio or more?) use such devices and most don't even know, they can be connect to a PC... or even what a PC is 🤣

TomCgcmfc My Q3 just updated to another build of v74, retail channel of course: 5070966.21310.510.
Desktop App is still at 74.0.0.675.347...

Obviously nothing has changed as everything works as intended... both standalone and with PCVR (mainly AirLink). There's also no option to remove an app from library or "improvements to the LinkApp"... apart from the muti-room space setup, which is great.

So, Meta, keep up the good work and refine this annoying "feature rollout" a bit 😉

not quite....people with additional accounts are having problems on v74(non beta), those accounts are practically unusable currently.
