PTC v74 Release Thread

Hey Everyone,

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v74 started to roll out today for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S.

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v74:

1) For issues: Go to our Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v74" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v74 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately. Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

    There is a bug in the new UI, it made not responding error, and after a restart it went back to the original UI again.

    V74 has introduced a bug in my Q3 headset. Everything was working fine prior to the update on Friday. Now I get a freeze in all PCVR games every 32 seconds approximately. I am using Virtual Desktop and Steam VR. I have confirmed this by using my Q2 headset and the issue is absent. This is 100% related to the Q3 on V74. This requires urgent attention as all my games are unplayable at the moment!

      Anonymous Sadly I tried the ptc this am and that setting is gone. Going back again

      Anonymous Ugh I have gone back to v72 still not seeing option after that and a reset ugh

      So far I have done 5 factory resets and it’s not showing back up yet ugh the intro video is so annoying

          Jonalt.484 If it turned on in the mobile app PTC, Yes, factory reset from the phone app. But it works for me but it doesn't want to stay permanently on. After awhile it goes back to the original UI

          If run app only on guest account, it will only display a half screen and controls won't work.

          Same issue occurs in all apps.

          I did a factory reset to fix the problem, but the same problem occurred, so it seems to be a v74 issue.
