Spent some time in Medium, no more spinning hands!

I too have noticed that blank white window that appears briefly at launch of Home, but didn't figure it was really anything to worry about (probably just a little something running at the startup of Home to check USB status or make sure the sensors are awake).

I've also noticed the flickering light/reflection to the left of the bar in the Home environment that @digitalkibble mentioned.

Well, I'm gonna buck the trend on all this praise... tracking was best for me with original software firmware when controllers came out and three sensors.  Now, after this last update, constant bits of hitching with both controllers, a slight "swimmingness" to the HMD which I never experienced before, and occasionally one controller will spazz a bit in the transition between a front and rear camera, almost flying off at very high speed then resuming its position.  Had none of this before the patch.... very disappointed.  Even going with just two sensors and not three for front facing was no better surprisingly.

My suspicion is relatively high end systems are actually seeing improvements, while nominal systems are actually doing worse, perhaps more information is being processed from the cameras with a different algorithm and higher systems can handle it but lesser cannot?  Whatever the case I gave up after two full calibrations and about 45 minutes of testing, tracking was degraded enough it simply wasn't worth the headache.  A shame, I was actually enjoying three sensor play for about a month and looking forward to the update.  I have held the faith waiting for the controllers and the promise of them and at least small room scale, but now things are just getting worse.... I hate to say it but for the first time I am seriously thinking of jumping ship.  I'll be getting a new system in a few months, if things aren't leveled out by then I'm going to have to probably sell mine and go Vive... these latest changes have ruined the experience.

Turning my head in Oculus Home alone makes me Sick. (The IMU Tracking seems to be delayed, and drifts unless I keep my head completely still

I noitced that while being in Oculus home after the previous update already. But I wasnt sure if something had changed or if it was just me... It was just a sick feeling from looking around in home, I had never experienced before.

Maybe I got used to it, maybe it is gone for me. I wouldnt notice it anymore, at least not without looking for it.

I've been noticing this lately too.  Even a few weeks before the patch I started getting that swimmy feeling.  Tracking used to be spot-on when looking around in the HMD but now it feels sluggish.

    Another one suffering here.
3 sensor setup that was working perfectly now poor connection to one sensor, tried every plug on my pc, removed all other devices so only the rift, mouse and KB plugged in, tried the pcie usb card, tried all the internal mobo usb2,3 and 3.1. I should add this is the sensor on the long extention, tried with both my previously working usb3 repeater cable and the supplied usb2 that came with the 3rd sensor.
Also getting extremely poor fps in AC, (the only game I can say for sure fps has changed as I always have the ingame fps monitor open) Max I have seen is 45fps and usually lower, tried lowering game settings but that makes absolutely no difference. Been through all graphics settings double and tripple checking everything.
Tried cleaning both game and oculus installs from my pc not just uninstalling.
I had an issue with FPS when I 1st got the rift, I tried out the ASW via debug tool which seemed to be worse to me, it got locked to 45fps and it would not revert to 90 no matter what I did.
In the end I removed AC and Oculus home etc, went through hard drive deleteing anything to do with them both that was left and then hunted through the registry deleting oculus and assetto corsa data as I went.
This finally got me back to 90fps and I was able to turn the graphics back up.
Alas I have been on hours this time and it has not worked.
Is it possible to do a reg tweak that dissables ASW on this new release?

My tracking was great before with 4 sensors. Now my hands become jerky, or start to drift, and get laggy out of nowhere.

I had a couple minor issues before that were managable, like hands being jittery if the headset was plugged in for a while and not being used, but setting the process to realtime priority, or unplugging and replugging the headset would fix it. but I'm using a laptop so that's no big deal.

Can I go back to the older version? This is just bad.

My system is a high end gaming laptop with a gtx 1080 and i76850HK, so I know it's not me.

After many, many hours of testing today, i can say that my issues with the wild floating and snapping right controller is fixed now. Yeah! :)

There are a few minor tracking glitches though. Sometimes the controller floats away and snaps back within a second. But this is nothing in comparison to the tracking issues i had before the update.

So i can say that i'm very, very pleased and happy with the new patch. Thank you Oculus!

Here is a video of what happens to me now.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKFIxy4KQHo

My hands are pressed together as I'm moving, and I'm making smooth deliberate movements. The hands are bouncing around at random times and not tracking well with each other. Sometimes one hand even stops moving.

This didn't happen before the update. It was perfectly smooth, and they tracked together perfectly. With 4 sensors I had great coverage in my 2.5mX2.5m area, and even outside of it. Now it's glitchy which really breaks immersion. I want the old version back.

I'm perfectly willing to work with oculus on resolving this, if there is any information you need, or if you'd like to use me as a tester or anything, I'm willing to help. I'm a systems engineer myself, so I'm pretty experienced troubleshooting software, and hardware.
