Blog Post
I've posted this elsewhere, actually it was for this thread:
All these updates are an absolute disaster, especially on Quest Pro. The Horizon Worlds app practically became unusable since v78: it starts to stutter and hangs on a blue stuttering screen. Factory reset? No success, and it is always some work to put everything back: for NOTHING!
PTC v81 might have fixed it? Nope, nothing changed except for MORE BUGS with the PTC ones on top.
PTC v81 so far:
* Eye callibration is broken, does not work anymore.
* LINK with PC is not at all working unless the PC software needs to go be PTC too? Then I wait and use my Quest 3 via link instead (But I like Pro more actually).
* I had to factory reset again cause no menus, more issues. Then I got the navigator menu and now after a restart the navigator menu is just completely vanished with no way to get it back. At least there's a menu, the old one. I do not understand this Menu Houdini trickery. Is it a hidden option somewhere?
Issues fromv79.1033 are still there: (Quest Pro only)
* Horizon Worlds is STILL BROKEN, same issue prevails on the Pro
* the lost controllers in Epic Roller Coasters are still lost (issue since v79.1033) => mail sent to B4T Games, no answer yet.
* Controller issues are less but are still there (right controller not in place).
* 4XVR crashes, never had this before v79.
What I don't like: again fun home environments are getting taken away. The new one vaguely remembers the PCVR Home environments which you could adapt. Maybe it is ok to give people a choice what they want from environments still: new or old cfr the menu system. Although I got the new one for an hour and now it's gone?
By far the update cycle of the headsets are the weirdest and most unlogical out there, I don't have this kind of problems and bugs as much as here except for ASUS mobo firmware that takes a while to be solved...but they get solved at least.
UPDATE: I got managed to get into the Horizon Worlds Central and one condert ...but that's about it. And only by using the mirror in the Home, not the shortcut in the menu. All other worlds are still unaccessible cause it stutters and fails. The app crashes too (close app or wait menu). Are they working on it because the central I went into from my Pro is totally different and is that the cause (but Quest Pro ONLY) ?

Yep my Pro has the same issues.

UPDATE on my post: I wrote Epic Rollercoasters about the bug and they actually solved the issue where the Pro controllers were not found by their game! They actually listen and do the work solving bugs. Meta in contrary asked for details on my Quest Pro and simply closed the support ticket cause my Pro is +2 years old and they ignored my attempt to tell them about their soical platform being broken on the Pro completely.

Support is almost always do a factory reset its easier than trouble shooting the problem but occasionally works. I've even tried to use the update software but that didn't work.
I know I paid full price for my Pro because I pre-ordered it. They don't care. They are pushing the Quest 3 and phasing out of the Quest 2 and Pro . For sales.
The buyers don't matter. No perfered customers or loyalty programs. I bought the Go, Quest, Quest 2 and Quest Pro with over 400 titles in my library. My wife said they're sending you a message.
The message is clear:
" ZUK YOU! "
