using voice SDK / wit.ai as speech-to-text converter
Wit is very good at understanding what both human voice and intent. but sometimes I want to make the player to say exactly what I set in the Utterance section. an example could be an in-game passcode. I don't know how to do it since Wit's response matcher seams to work differently than a simple speech-to-text converter. TLDR: I want to use wit in unity as a speech-to-text converter. any ideas?dev_pirate_004 months agoHonored Guest2.3KViews0likes4CommentsStill cannot use built in mic for casting on MQDH... Extremely obnoxious oversight...
I just don't understand. Meta is advertising this as the best way to cast gameplay and yet to this day there isn't even an option to turn on the mic. You can hear the mic when you record, but not when you cast? Make it make sense. The fact that this has been a common complaint for a couple years now just makes this all the more frustrating. If /casting can do it, what's stopping Dev Hub from doing it? Can anyone here think of a legitimate and logical reason for MQDH to lack this basic feature?Shio3015 months agoHonored Guest1.1KViews0likes1CommentStudio made AI's memory (EDITED FOR CLARITY)
So I've been using my own personal AI made with Studios for a while now, but the memory settings is very new to me (apparently it just now got released in my country). I... Don't know how it works? Apparently it'll just save memories through the conversation, which is great but I haven't seen that happen a single time. Not even when I said "remember this" or "save this memory", french or english, didn't seem to change a thing. How does the AI know what's worth saving as a memory? What if you want it to remember something specific? Is my app just broken? Do I just need to wait for further updates? Marble Mechanics (UE based) runs both as PCVR (Rift) and stand-alone (Quest). Both are accepted and listed on their respective Meta Store. They share an App Group. Is that sufficient to cause cross-buy to be active (i.e. one buys Quest then Rift is free or vice versa)? Is there some other switch/place that needs to be turned on? Documentation link would be fine too.2SsockS5 months agoHonored Guest122Views0likes1CommentMQDH / Continue in your Browser
Hello! I am unable to login to the MQDH desktop application. I already tried the "WIN+R - google.com"-Solution, but it did not work. I tried Edge and Chrome as default browsers. I just see a little flash in the MQDH after i click the blue Start-as-Button. But it stays at "Continue in your browser" without an error message. EDIT: I am on windows 10. Hoping for some ideas Thanks, StefanmrbrewAT5 months agoMember1.8KViews1like3CommentsMeta Quest Developer Hub White Screen, Doesn't Load
Whenever I open the app, the window hangs on a white screen and never loads the app. I've tried all versions of the Developer Hub app for Mac, they all give me the same bug. I'm using a 2013 Mac Pro and running Monterey v12.6.1 I've uninstalled each time by trashing the app as well as all log folders in the user Application Support Folder. I've also started using the 3rd party utility "AppCleaner" to do a more thorough uninstall. No success.codychar5 months agoHonored Guest5.3KViews3likes15CommentsWorld Desktop Editor Entity coordinates
Note: I'm an experienced LAMP stack developer but new to horizon OS, VR and 3d rendering in general. Howdy, I recently brought a quest 3 and have been playing around with World Desktop Editor. There are a couple of issues I have found I would like to raise. Firstly I spent about an hour trying to update a simple text gizmo with dynamic text from typescript. The steps I took for this to happen is simple: Add text gizmo Set the text in the Editor Create a script and attach it to the entity Implement the relevant code needed Start your world trigger the action for the text to change - it never does. I added logging and restarted the editor several times pulling my hair out, in the end I deleted the text gizmo and created another 'without' setting the text in the editor and made it all dynamic from the script. I shouldn't have needed to do this, it should just work transparently. Another issue I have found is when you try and group components/entities, it will change the coordinates to be centred around the 'object'. If you then want to manipulate your components from typescript you need to 'calculate' the coords rather than just copying original position and editing that. My hack is to move the component out of the group grab the coords then put it back. It would be nice if you just had a little switch. As a side note also co-pilot in visual studios sucks at trying to write your scripts, it makes up functionality constantly. I guess there is no easy way of solving that because there is probably not enough open sourced code for it to learn from. It's a flaw in your reinvention of version control where it's centralised on your private servers. You should add a button to optionally publish a project to github.LNATIONDEV6 months agoPartner41Views1like1Comment
