Question

4+ Month RMA

On 3/17/26, I had requested an RMA for my Meta Quest Pro for stick drift in both controllers, and a loose USB-C port on the headset. At the time, my left controller had already been RMA’d alone for the same stuck drift issue, and I had a battery bank hooked up to my Quest Pro.

Over the next day, I was questioned about the condition of my controllers and headset until it was determined by the support agent that my right controller can get RMA’d and not my left of headset since I had a battery bank on it, and my left controller had been replaced in the past. I was then asked if I was interested in an “Out of Warranty” option since my year warranty was nearing it’s end.

After multiple exchanges back and fourth with a support member, another member came along on 3/30/26 and said my headset AND controllers can be replaced since my warranty was ending. The following week, I was instructed to send off only my headset and controllers, only for an email to come from another support member later to tell me that I should’ve been told previously to send the charging dock, power adapter, and cable with it, as Quest Pro kit replacements require everything that came with the box.

(4/12/26) - After I had sent off everything required, I look on my account to see if anything had changed, only to see my RMA has been canceled. The reasoning behind it was that it showed up in their system weirdly. What I mean by that is, the RMA that was used for my right controller had my whole kit on it, and a new one had to be issued with the full kit on it to be processed correctly.

After being told that my RMA and required materials were received by the inventory warehouse, that’s when I fell into a support loop of doom.

Over the course of April to currently (7/16/26), I’ve been told that my order is prioritized, people were coordinating with other teams, unexpected issues, inventory was scarce, and false date promises. I have not gotten my headset back, nor a solidified update on the status of my replacement. I was even told “issues” like this take up to 1-3 months to resolve, and that was back in May. Since then, I have been sending an email to support asking for an update on my RMA, only to be met with the same, “We are currently working on this” type of response. This has been an extremely, extremely frustrating and stressful situation, as I have given up a lot of hope for getting my Quest Pro.

I’m posting this for visibility and hoping somebody can offer some advice or insight on what can I do or what happens at this point.

Unfortunately, this is very common issue, confusion seems to be the default at Meta returns.

OK, here is a link to some options to talk to a human Meta Support person directly rather than an AI.

I suggest getting your information together and use one of the options in the link below.. I suggest trying the WhatsApp method first, usually gets the best results. Good luck and I hope you get it fixed soon 🍀🤞

I tried Whatsapp, and they basically hung up on me within the first 5 minutes. I was told, "We're waiting for inventory and we will update you when we can.", and then the conversation was cut. This is very unprofessional as I have gotten NO help at all.

Well, they actually answered you, so take it as a positive. I suppose if they're waiting for inventory, there's not anything else to say. I'm sure they're very busy, and don't have time for unnecessary conversation. It's not great but they're very understaffed after the job cuts. Hopefully they'll get back to you soon. My advice, keep writing every few days to keep the pressure on.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on July 29 and haven't heard anything back from them nor Meta. Losing all hope as it seems at this point. I've basically exhausted my options.

8/19/26 - Unfortunately, BBB was not able to help.

I'm not surprised about that.. This type of organization is invariably as useful as a cardboard hammer.
