Battery can't touch battery contact in Quest 3s controller

As you can see the battery contact on the right controller somehow moved down a bit and when I put in a battery it doesn't touch it so the controller doesn't receive power and doesn't work, atleast that's what I think is happening.

I don't want to pull the contact back up cause I am scared I will break it even more but if there is nothing else I can do than I will try it.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

  • You could fold up a small piece of aluminium foil so it is about 1 mm thick so it will fit between the battery contact and battery terminal. But if your controller is still under warranty you should submit a support ticket with Meta to get a replacement.

ODLD25  An alternative fix without the tin foil. Rotate the positive controller terminal until it springs back out of the locked-in position.
