Can't install Quest Link, no continue button

Hi,

I am trying to install the quest link on a new windows laptop, but it keeps getting stuck on the VR Downloads page after I log in to my account. There's no continue button or an option to select a location on this page.

I reinstalled several times and changed the download location, but they didn't work.

Has anyone experienced this before?

    Hi there Micmick,

We came across your post and would love to lend a hand!

We see that you have tried reinstalling a few times, but to make sure you are making a clean install and you have fully removed all of the remaining files try the following.

To manually uninstall then reinstall the Meta Quest Link app from your device:

    1. Disconnect the Rift/Link cable from the computer
    2. Disconnect your computer from the internet
    3. Backup any content.
      • Learn how to back up your content in our Help Center.
    4. Reboot your computer into Safe Mode.

    5. Uninstall the Meta Quest Link app using the Control Panel.

    6. Delete all Oculus folders from the folder called C:\Program Files.

    1. Remove any Oculus folders from the following locations:
      • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData
      • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\Local
      • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\LocalLow
      • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\Roaming
      • C:\OculusSetup-DownloadCache
      • Note: The AppData folder is usually hidden. Use these steps to access AppData.
        1. Press Windows key + R to launch the Run dialog window.
        2. Type %AppData% in the Run box and click OK or press Enter
        3. File Explorer will launch to the AppData\Roaming subfolder.
        4. Click AppData in the File Explorer address bar to show all three subfolders in the AppData location.
    2. Restart your computer in normal mode.
    3. Reconnect your computer to the internet.
    4. Install the Meta Quest Link app again using the setup tool from our website
    5. Reconnect the Rift/Link cable and re-test the headset

It may also be worth disconnecting any external hard drives when attempting the installation process, incase that is causing the issue.

  • Hi Micmick 🙂

actually the continue button is there.... just not visible.

The link app doesn't fit the screen......... and unfortunately can't be resized.🙄

Try this: move your taskbar to the right side of the screen instead of the bottom.

You can see a thin blue line in the link app then, that's the continue button. I can tab on it now, so this is working for me.

Other people solve it by turning their screen by 90° in their settings, so there is more room to make the button visible.

I hope, you'll get it installed.

  • It did it to me also you need to fix this I still can't install just put in a button

Just set the text size in Windows back to 100%, then the page will display correctly.
