My sons account is tied only to gmail account, we are locked out due to 2FA requesting a sms code sent to old number we no longer have access to, we confirmed via email successfully but then requires a second code to said old number which we cant recieve. add new number directly to headset but in settings in headset will not let me delete old number even though thats an option the button does nothing. Could someone from the support team helps us either manually remove the old number from account or temporarily disable 2FA so we can complete recovery using new number. happy to provide account details via PM.

    Hi MiraPerkins 🙂

Reach out to Meta support via email, chat or WhatsApp HERE

They can help you with your 2FA issue.

Actually, I am not taking the matter differently as you think. I asked for a screenshot, a specific screenshot of the device, and you must know that data can never be stolen by looking at a screenshot. And I asked for a screenshot from the meta community forum in my inbox, and no data can ever be stolen by looking at a screenshot. If there is a good expert, you can talk to him and find out...। Choleni

Not the case. I can post a screenshot of a failed attempt to confirm 2FA and user data is on that screenshot. Do not ever ask someone to provide a screenshot of anything that includes any personal data.. I've seen you ask for screenshots of people's devices before. Maybe you are doing this innocently. This lady was asking for Meta Support to help her and you answered, "to help us", giving her the false impression that you work for Meta. This is typical scam behavior, maybe you didn't realise it, but probably you do. Please stop asking people for shots of account verification screens. I've reported it anyway as it is unacceptable regardless of your motive. Choleni has agreed with my comment so I'm not sure why you bring her into the discussion. This is highly suspect behavior.

MiraPerkins The advice from Choleni should help you. But do NOT provide a screenshot of your process to anyone. It can compromise your security.

You can go to the Account Center and go to the two-factor authentication option and change the old number that is given, and enter the new number to enable two-factor authentication on the new number. Later, during login, the two-factor authentication code will be given to that number and you can easily log in by collecting that code...। MiraPerkins

And how do she get into the account center without being logged in🤪.

Has the issue with your device's two factor authentication been resolved? If not, can you please let me know at what stage your issue is now...। MiraPerkins

I'm not asking you for a screenshot, I'm asking you what stage your problem is at now.
