Quest3 Elite Strap with Battery back screw loose

Hello name100, I used a 6 star screwdriver, is not philips nor flat is another type. Luckily I had one in a set, you can find that type of screwdrivers in amazon or other places

Did you have any trouble getting the plastic piece back in? Same issue and I terrified to try prying that out. 

Hello stelcocci , if you refer to this plastic piece, that was the complicated part, I could not taking it out, so I had to make a lot of pressure to bend it like in the image to be able to screw it.

Hello edude78 , using force, I bended the plastic holder (in green) from the default position (highlighted in green) to the one marked with green.  Then I put the back black holder's copper screw receptacle inside the hole of the plastic holder and then I put the screw from the other side and used the screwdriver.  Remember that it is a small 6 point screwdriver (before anything check that is works fine with the screw.
This problem happened to me twice more is NOT ok for that to have this problem.  And EVERY time is difficult to do it, so have patience.
I don´t know why Meta is not answering about this.   Because my "solution" worked for me, but it may break it and, in that case, no more warranty. They should give us a REAL solution.

My screw has come out completely and fallen and cannot be retrieved.  What type of screw should I order to secure the rubber heel back onto the Elite Strap?

Glad I found this thread. Woke up and saw this exact problem occurring with my headset and strap. MetaStoreHelp can you guys share an official video on how to fix this please? Bending the plastic that far and using a screwdriver is really scary. 

Does anyone know what size torx I should use to re-attach this? It's a shame that the screw fell out a month after buying...

I stopped using it, my screw kept going out and each time was very difficult to put it back....  it's a shame.

Torx T4 + Red Threadlock

Just went through this myself. I suggest getting yourself some threadlock. It's a liquid for screw threads that prevents the screws from coming loose. Red for permanent, Blue for semi-permanent. I went red.  

Just like has been said here you'll be bending the strap piece pretty far but it seems to hold up fine.

While you're in there, if you feel confident you might as well do both sides with the thread lock to prevent loosing the screws in the future.

I put the thread lock in the nut side and then wicked the excess away with a paper towel.
