removing devices from account

Hey Pookiemonstr, totally understand your concern with not being able to remove devices to your account. They don't need to be on your account if you are no longer in possession of them and we want to help you resolve this. This is the proper way to do this. You go into your account on the Oculus website. Then there is a drop down menu where you can choose “My devices” and once on that page, you should see each of your devices listed.  You want to click the button underneath each device labeled “Delete device data”. If the issue still persists, please select our name to get to our profile page, or click here. Next, click "Send a Message" to privately message us! Please remember, you must be signed into the community first to send us a private message.

I'm sorry but "until a certain period of time has passed" is just a poor response. What is the exact duration of "a certain period of time"?

Did you guys ever figure out how to remove devices from the Oculus/Meta app on iOS? The device still appears there but on the web portal it doesn't.  Why can't they just figure it out and let us remove the device from our accounts? Seems like some kind of spying.

they still don't know how. be nice if meta support actually was able to assist.

The device is removed from my account in the web portal, but not from the iOS meta quest app.

Would be nice to have a solution here from a real Meta support rep, instead of someone at separate company with poor English and technical comprehension.

I have the same issue. From my quest app click install game. You see tons of older headsets which is the same headset. When you click devices on page nothing shows up. Same with I helped a roommate remove facebook account done a factory reset. Went too his account to devices an nothing is there.

But the app shows it.

Seriously why is this issue marked as 'solved'? There is literally no solution for this issue, as already noted by many others in this thread. I cannot for the life of me understand why we are not allowed to delete old devices. Especially in the oculus app this is quite annoying. It seems that the reasons Meta is giving is actually against international privacy laws, since they say that they do it to keep the data. The data is mine and not Meta's, i have the right to delete my data and they don't have the right to make that choice for me.

Jeez, still solution for this is ridiculous. I'm also having the same issue and read through this thread of canned solutions from the Metabots. No help at all.

I looked for this on various websit es including youtube and solved it using to way to directly unlink individual accounts from within the app on your iPhone. However, there are a couple of workarounds you can try:-

1. Log Out of All Accounts:-

Here's how to do it:-

• Open the Instagram app and make sure you're on the account you don't want to keep linked.
• Tap your profile picture in the bottom right corner.
• Tap the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top right corner.
• Select "Settings".
• Scroll down and tap "Log Out".
• You'll be prompted to confirm if you want to log out of all accounts. Choose "Log Out" again.

2. Remove Saved Login Information (for iPhone with iOS 11 or later):-

Here's how to do it:-

• Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
• Tap on "Passwords & Accounts".
• Look for "Instagram" under "Accounts". If you don't see it listed, this method won't work for your situation.
• Tap on "Instagram".
• Toggle off the switch next to "AutoFill".
• Tap "Delete Account" to remove the saved login information for all Instagram accounts.
