What is going on with the latest update that will not update?? I troubleshot everything plus did a factory reset as well as a hard reboot and still nothing. So please help, Meta told me many replace the headset because its under warrenty but isn't that going to far? Robert W.
The latest update (v78.1028) is borked. Turn off all your auto-update settings and wait for a fix. I expect it will take several weeks.

The 165 MB update that never installed is now apparently only 105 MB.
I saw a post from a user who was able to install it successfully.
Edit: I'm still on v78.1027 after restart but now it says I'm updated.

Yep, same for me and other users....but most important, you don't have that pending update anymore and all is working.
Yes, it was a faulty update. Just start the device, install the update and it will just go back to v78.0 (you're probably on that if you did a factory reset. Then restart the device and V78.1028 should have completely disappeared. I actually got Navigator too which was a surprise.
Thanks for the responses so since I wasted time on nonsense trouble shooting maby I can get Quest Cash out of this.

Personally, I haven't had any problems. I was just waiting for a fix.
My headsets were fully functional the whole time, so why get upset?
Not upset but why tell hundreds of people with the same update problem to do a factory reset when that doesn't solve anything but just pisses people off like myself.
