Adding Quest to new account

Hello all,

Ihave the following issue:

  • I own an Oculus Quest (Meta Quest 1)
  • I can't get into my original Oculus account because the emailaddress associated with that account, doesn't exist anymore. Threfore I don't get the code sent to that address in order to access the account. 
  • I've created a new Meta Account with my current emailaddress
  • There are no Devices linked to my new account and I can't find where to add a device. 

So I would like to do 2 things:

  1. Get access to my old account and add that account to my new account
  2. Add my Oculus Quest to my new account 

Anyone knows how to get these 2 simple things done?

    Did you migrate your old Oculus account to a Meta Account in time?

    There was a deadline: All Oculus accounts not migrated by March 2024 were deleted.

    You need to contact support; they may still be able to restore your old purchases.

    Send a PM MetaStoreHelp​ 

    click on their name, then click the "message" button.

     

    In case you need to factory reset your Quest for setting it up with your new account.....
    The setup won't work with the latest version of the mobile app. You need an older version of the Horizon app.

    The solution in this thread describes what you need to do and includes a link to an older version of Horizon.

    Meta support doesnt't recognize my Oculus Quest (1st gen) serial number so I cannot get help. | Meta Community Forums - 1274215

      No I didn't migrate my old Oculus account in time: I switched ISP, so my registered emailaddress was no longer valid and I was so occupied with other things than my dust-collecting Oculus Quest, that I have to admit that I missed all of this. Frustrating that I just can't continue where I leftoff. But thanks for the info: I've indeed sent a PM to support as you suggested, and now I'm waiting their reply.
