Casting to phone does not show the full view

This has happened with 4 games so far, Beat Saber, A Golf game, and two other games (can't remember the names now).

We have had this issue since we purchased the Quest 3 about 3 weeks ago so have never had full viewing. The headset has been reset twice for other issues we have had too so a reset will not resolve it.

Are you referring to the device display settings as in if its square or landscape etc?

Both PC and Mobile phones have been fully up to date with all software and drivers when testing.

The headset is the quest 3.

Hello MetaStoreHelp, here are my answers to your questions:

• This happens with any application, including the home environment.
• Assuming this means "Is this a recent issue," no, it was always like this. I've had this headset for about a month.
• Not applicable, neither the headset, nor the android app, nor the casting website have settings that can change the casting area.
• The device and the android app are up to date. The website doesn't need to be updated due to its nature.
• My headset is Meta Quest 3.

I've attached more screenshots where I look at a full rainbow in a way that I can see the entirety of it through my left eye.

• The first screenshot is taken from a third party application that allegedly captures the entire view of the lens.
• The second screenshot is from when I take a quick screenshot from the device by holding the Meta button and pulling the trigger. It's identical to the image when casting via https://www.oculus.com/casting
• The third screenshot is from my mobile device when casting via the android app.

I'm pitching in with the same problem. Moving the headset downward so it mainly sits on my cheekbones, combined with tilting my head down and moving my eyes up seems to align the recorded area with my view. 

I'm on v64

Edit: attached a picture taken from within the quest. I aligned my view with the piece of 80ies wallpaper (read: I would not see the other white wallpaper above) with the ruler ending close to the center of view

Hey there gusriady, we notice that you are experiencing issues with casting, so we would like to ask you what device you are using to perform casting?

We also have an article that has troubleshooting guide for the device you're trying to cast on like on a phone, computer, or VR here.

Hey again, mstrwil! thanks for the follow up on this. this is something we're seeing being reported. For the time being, lean forward and hold the Oculus button, when it re-centers, go back to normal and it'll re-center the location a bit further back. Another thing to try is if you fully drain the battery then recharge it then give this a try. This is has historically also resolved this challenge. The quickest way to do this is by using the headset. You may also set the headset down and place the controllers in front of the headset. Please keep us updated on this!

To Everyone on this Post. Clearly, it's a device issue. I sold my 128gb Model to get the 512gb Model - This issue DOES NOT persist in the new 512gb Quest 3 I bought. So I believe it's definitely a bad batch of production with some issue - Which may/may not be fixed with a software update. Screen-Recording on this Quest 3 is pretty much like I'd want it to be. 

So MetaStoreHelp  Just resetting the device and stuff - isn't really the issue. It's hardware related and device specific. 

They keep asking me to send clips. Even though I am logged in with my user name, it says that guests cannot post videos/images.

Hi there, Leloup77! We absolutely want to do everything we can to make sure this casting issue is properly addressed, so we popped in to ask that you and everyone else reporting this problem to please let our engineers know by using the following steps (also located here😞 

1. Press the menu button on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.
2. Hover over the clock on the left side of the universal menu. When Quick Settings appears, select it to open the Quick Settings panel.
3. Select  Report problem.
4. Select Include or Don't include to add complete logs and diagnostics.
5. Follow the instructions to submit your report.
    

You can also quickly press the menu button on your right Touch controller five times in a row to open the bug report tool. We truly appreciate any feedback you can add for our engineers to investigate this situation further!
