Headsets greyed out and pair tab not working

Quest 2 shows a code but there’s nowhere to input this in my son’s android phone.

i set my 13 yo up in family account but we can’t pair his phone to the headset. The headset options do not fully populate so we can’t select his unit. The app is the most current one.

We have the code but there’s nowhere to type it in.

i have an iPhone and i was able to pair straight away but this means he can only use the VR on my account so what’s the point of having child restricted options if he can’t use his profile?

please help

  • All sorted. It turned out that the overriding location permission wasn’t selected. It was in the horizon app but not in the phone’s settings.

  • Hi FozenFlame 🙂

You can use your iPhone..... just for the set up. Afterwards your son can use  the app on his phone.

Log out from the app on your iPhone, log in with your son's account on that phone and pair the Quest.

Hi, thanks but perhaps I didn’t explain correctly. When  the headset is ready to pair and a code is also displayed the headset does not appear in the app. Only a greyed out Meta Quest 3 is visible it as its grey it can’t be selected. There should be a list of different quests that you can choose from. This list is not there. This is why my son’s phone won’t pair with the headset.
