This is such a weird problem. I've seen it vary from one Q3 to the next and people are reporting the same. My friend who also purchased one and I happen to try his tonight and the picture itself is so umm different. His passthrough is MUCH brighter, like high contrast compared to mine even though same brightness and all other settings. Although mine is not as "bright" it seems more umm natural and colors on his bright one seem slightly washed out on his as well. There seems to be a slight darker coating on his glass than mine.
His build quality seems better than mine. His interface is solid and doesn't move or pop out at the nose part, mine is so weak, you look at it wrong and the bottom nose clips let go and it pops out lol.
I like the picture qualify of mine but build quality and overall brightness of his lol.
Man, the QC is ALL OVER the place. This is my first Meta product, I finally gave in due to kids bugging me and decent reviews as I, gasp, personally despise anything FB/meta related. Having said that, it's still s decent VR set for sub $500, the quality and variances from one to the next definitely show it's lack of QC in my opinion.
