Disable Boundary in Quest 3

Can we disable Boundary in Quest 3? I know this is possible in Quest/Quest 2.

The large contingent of Quest users who Sim race or use flight simulators need our headsets to not be looking for a boundary or doing anything but displaying while we sit in our rigs.

It is a great shame that the quest 3 has some great features but that silly company decisions let it down.  I want to be able to play a game in pass through such as 11 table tennis without seeing a blue grid everything I reach for a shot. I can see the wall, I don’t need a warning.  I want my uninstalled games to be deleted not just greyed out in case I really want that terrible demo I checked out again in the future, etc, etc.  I know I’m wasting my time though. This will be read by other dissatisfied customers and some “sympathetic” AI moderator.

To disable to Guardian. You need to enter Dev mode with a Dev account. After entering dev mode there is an option to disable Guardian. Creating a Dev account is easy to do and I personally recommend that everyone should do it. Do not worry you can always switch back to your normal account if you find that dev mode is too much.

Can you shed more light on how to configure that? I tried online and enabled dev mode on my mobile but don't see any dev settings in the headset. Thanks.

I second that, having boundaries while in passthrough doesn't make any sense.

Make us sign a document that makes us swear we won't sue Meta for bumping our head but please....Let us use this device as its intended. Let us disable guardian and use passthrough

I came here expecting an easy way to turn off the need for a boundary while using passthrough.  A mixed reality headset needs to be able to launch apps without the need for boundaries being on.

*Edit It is possible to turn off boundaries by going into headset System settings ---> Developer Mode.  You can turn boundaries off there but for some reason passthrough gets turned off.  But if you start an app that has passthrough functionality in it then you get passthrough without boundaries (but the app that forced passthrough will be on).

Yup, Meta was not able to control their environment and decided to combine all worlds (pure AR, full VR, etc...)

Stop combining everything, give us a choice, I want to do full AR, let me do what I want.

Hi, when I wanted to use my Quest 3 in lying down mode outside of my usual place, the application DEO VR didn't even want to start. It started only when I was in my usual place with the boundaries up. Do I have to put boundaries even for the lying down mode? I'm in contact with the DEO VR support and they seem to say the problem lies on the Quest 3.

Hey there, Mad_Cr0w! Checking things out with the new laying down mode is exciting, so we are happy to share more information about this. Generally speaking you do need to set up boundaries for any location you are going to use the headset. In this case, you should be able to set up a stationary boundary for where you are using the device in laying down mode. Should you need more information on how to set up a new boundary you can check our steps here. If you have any other questions, please feel free to let us know and we will be happy to help further!

lads and ladies, we got it.
After years of a weird UX decision,,,,,,we can now use no boundary mode with passthrough.
Next time maybe do a core group of pro user and ask them what they need instead of assuming.
