Question

Health Connect not functioning (Android 14 - Quest Move)

Beginning Android 14, Google is moving their Health Connect Google Play app into a native system built-in app. This has caused the Meta Quest app to stop being able to sync data to Health Connect. Most other health apps have already had updates to adjust for this change, but the Meta Quest app still hasn't received an update to solve this.

I'm running the One UI 6 Beta 2 (Android 14) and I cannot get Health Connect set up with the Oculus app because I receive a message stating that the Meta Quest app must be updated to continue integrating with Health Connect.

Hope you can solve this ASAP as I want to sync my Quest Move data again. 🙂

Honestly they are the only ones that haven't gotten it to work dunno why this is not a priority for them. A lot of people use the quest exclusively for fitness

We don't proceed until they fix it. It really is completely useless at the moment.

Holy crap I thought this feature was bugged or something, took me some googling to find out it's disabled on purpose. Quite siliy for a powerhouse that is Meta, I'm pretty sure they can assign an intern to follow Google's documentation for migrating the API and it'll be done in a week or less.

BlueberrieSmoothie could. you escalate this or something?

Please get this working. It's one of the reasons I bought the quest

im 150 kg guy using quest for my workouts (was 170) my trainer can't track my data anymore as we used google fit as base for my regime and keeping me in line.
If move can't connect to Google Fit (which is a main tracker for many of us)
why does even move exist? it only tracks one source of workout.
It's terrible that this issue was marked as solved.
I went here hoping it was resolved and I needed to follow some tutorial.
Fix it.

It's a shame such a simple fix hasn't been implemented for a year. Other apps work perfectly with the new Health Connect. It is a very useful feature, but we can't use it. I thought that the problem was with my phone but now I'm annoyed even more.

I think the issue is more with Android 14 than the Meta Horizon app.

I say this as I have managed to get Android 12 syncing health data from Meta Horizon and both devices have the same version of Health Connect (2024.17.10.release) and the same version of the Meta Horizon app (292.0.0.9.108)

You should read through the thread. Android didn't break but it did change and for some reason meta hasn't made the required updates. Other apps still work fine because their vendors made updates.

Yes, sooo disappointing. I spent 30 min yesterday chatting with support. She didn't really even seem to be familiar with this as an issue! I mean how many people have fitbits and would like to see HR displayed during workouts? Most people I know have a fitbit. One of the main reasons I bought my Quest 3 is for the exercises aspect. This should be a huge item on their programers' to-do list!

I couldn't agree with you more! I thought I was going insane, following the meta instructions Nd getting dead ended! I wonder what we can do to get the dev teams moving on this?

Is there any updates on this?
