Hey friends, We were stoked to get our cables in - Just purchased brand new gaming laptops for us to finally have dynamic bones in VR - Mine works seamlessly however, my husbands (who got a even stronger PC than mine) when linked, follows the prompts to just get a loading screen for hours. We've tried everything to uninstalling + reinstalling oculus app, uninstalling Nvidia drivers + reinstalling, and seeing if there's any updates. IF any one has found a trick to this PLEASE let us know! Sincerely, Very, very, very x a million frustrated.

Is there some way to connect An Oculus Quest to a running Open Simulator (OpenGL I believe? The same basic language as SecondLife) server? The old Android Lumiya Viewer's VR mode was GREAT, but I am unable to find the creator, break it down, or find any similar program that can connect to the server.
I want to develop a hololens2 app with Virtual human Lipsync,Whether the Oculus Lipsync plug-in can be used on hololens2 (UPW platform, x86)
Steam Link It's to make VR therapist more affordable and accessible to independent practitioners, in the hope to make it a more available form of treatment. The therapists who used it seem very satisfied and some have reported an actual increase in their healthcare efficiency. They like working with Vrerience basically for exactly the reasons it was intended for, which is great. Now it's available on Steam for use worldwide to make it even more accessible. No one needs to contact us to get Vrerience and everyone can manage their own content subscriptions at any time (also to contrast most VRT software out there). Problem is how Vrerience is in a particular limbo between two very contrasting market orientations. VR is heavily game-oriented and so is Steam. Spread the word via Steam and typical VR news sites, and it'll mainly reach game enthusiasts. If I spread the word via platforms on healthcare and e-health, the association with gaming when people hear Steam and VR can
Hi everyone, this is our first post, and just looking for anyone that might have any information on our topic. We are Virtual Reality Education, and we are creating VR videos on a number of topics, relating to education in VR. Question number one is, does anyone know about these two programs: Oculus Launchpad: are applications open, or if someone has more information about this?VR for Good: is there anything active going on with this? For the VR Video, is there any channel for it that could be monetizable? We've put some videos up as Oculus Developers, but there is no way for Quest users to even give a like to the content, or to share it, or get to our creator page to see all the other videos we've created--so it seems very lacking in functionality. Also, there seems to be no way to monetize it. What do you think about the prospects of creating an app featuring immersive VR video, would that be a more promising route, and do you think it could make it onto the ocul
Hi. I cannot enable developer mode. I did all the steps 1) created an organization 2) went through the verification of my account via SMS.In the mobile application, when you press the developer mode, it redirects to the sitedeveloper.oculus.com/documentation/native/android/mobile-device-setup/. Please help in resolving the issue.

Hello there to you all!I work at a technical and vocational school which provides courses in the area of Videogames and we intend to acquire 2 Oculus Quest 2 for development purposes. For the moment I have questions regarding on the account(s) needed to register the equipment and to register the Developers Team. For instance i'm writing through my Facebook's personal profile, which I don't find the appropriate channel to do that.Is there any other way to properly set a Developers Team by not using my personal profile and acquire the equipment we need? Thank you very much.Have a great day!
Couldn't find a thread that had a guide of where to startQuestion:What languages should I learn to program for oculus and the metaverse?Where are good resources to start?
I am brand new to the Occulus quest 2. Our school purchased some that are checked out like books to students. Recently a student asked if we could switch one of the four we check out (that are all logged into our schools FB account!) to developer mode. As an admin who runs a computer lab my initial reaction is no way as things could be done at that level that would affect other users. Correct? My questions are:Would developer mode effect all of our four Occulus' or can the permissions be localized. So for example we have one a student could play with to learn from, so if they break things they don't break all?Can I prune permissions in developer mode? What does Developer mode allow?
I wanted to use hand tracking in VR using oculus quest 2.When I connect the VR headset using XR rig camera, it worked fine. But it is not working when I use OVRCameraRig.When I hit the play button, nothing is playing in my oculus headset, but there are no errors. Does anyone have any ideas why the OVRCameraRig is not working? I update unity2021.1.23f and download XR interaction toolkit 1.0.0, XR plugin Management 4.1.0, oculus xr plugin 1.10.0, openXR plugin1.2.8 packages.
Hi!Simply, I am working on a website which is very similar to Youtube. And I will try to make an VR app just like YouTube VR . Or What kind of program should I develop?Unity? Android?

Hi everyone, I am currently working on a 360 video player app that will feature a bunch of different 360 videos that can be downloaded and if possible streamed. I did some test in Unity and created a streaming server to serve some 360 videos it seems to work just fine in the quest 2 🙂 I am trying to find out what is allowed and what is NOT on a app on the store or app lab. I did read about IAP/DLC and OBB services from oculus. I am trying to see if its allowed to :Stream Video inside a appDownload videos and save them to the local storage (i assume its not and i will need to use DLC)If its possible to download and save a JSON and some images to local storage,I also assumed that the only way to have IAP going is to used the official API. (Only free DLC seems supported on the app lab) If anyone could give me precisions on what is and is not allowed when it comes to external data download and stream. Thanks a lot 🙂
Hi, i need to develop an app for a museum with oculus go. I need to automatically start my application at 9:00 am at every day.In a previous version with Gear 360 i do that creating a service apk that runs my apk. Than my app uses a server-client protocol to connect to a tablet and from that tablet i can control all the system with an app.So, can I install that service on oculus go to? Or there is any way to run my app remotely from a tablet or computer or phone?
Hey, all! I'm an Instructional Technology Coach for a district that is looking to implement a beginner Oculus developer course for our kiddos. Does anyone have experience with this?
Hi, I have an app that connects to a BLE Speed Sensor, but in order to do so I need to have "android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION" enabled. In my previous build I had it declared in my AndroidManifest.xml and was able to publish it without trouble but now the Oculus Developer Dashboard won't let me add this permission this way anymore. The alternative seems to be using Unity's Permission.RequestUserPermission(Permission.FineLocation); but this doesn't pop up any permission requests and therefore my app throws an error stating that it does not have the aforementioned permission. Is there a workaround? I've searched the internet but the only solution mentioned was downgrading the Oculus XR Plugin version, which does not seem to be an option anymore for this scenario.
Hi, If I want to implement ray tracing algorithm, for example Whitted ray tracing for Oculus, what would be the best APIs to do that? I read both the Unity3D and Unreal Engine 4.26 does not support ray tracing for VR.
I am using the Mixed Reality Capture Tool (latest version 5.1.1) with a custom Unity App using the default MRC scene template. I am doing MRC with a quest 2 using the oculus link so I choose Rift S when using the tool. When I calibrate my camera and run the app and OBS everything works fine, but then if I re-run the app later in the day the calibration is all off and I have to recalibrate. It's a painstaking process and really annoying that it gets off for some reason. The camera has not moved. Any idea what the issue could be? It would be great if the tool/api would say where the calibration is stored so it could be saved externally and verified. It's way too much of a black box now. This would also be helpful to have separate calibrations for different setups.
Hi all,I would like to know if there is any way to hide achievements to user while we are testing and developing them. Our game is already released and we did not found any way to hidden them. Thanks
