Question

Aliens - Fact Or Fiction..?

Well we've had a time travel thread so I thought we should have an aliens thread too.

I believe that aliens have visited and are visiting our planet. Now I don't think that there are aliens that are living here and impersonating humans, but I certainly believe that at least SOME of these UFOs captured on film and seen by people are alien spacecraft.

How am I reasoning this? Pretty simple. There have simply been too many technological leaps since the 50s to make it not being true. Just have a think about it:

  1. Integrated circuits and microchips.
  2. Credit cards and bank cards.
  3. Cassette tapes, CDs, DVDs, Blu-Rays.
  4. Kevlar
  5. Lasers
  6. Stealth bombers
  7. The Oculus Rift lol
  8. Velcro.
  9. Quantum Computers.
And then have a look back through time and you have the Pyramids, Mayan astronomy and cities, Stonehenge, the Inca's Machu Picchu and Teotihuacán in Mexico.

A great deal of these UFO sightings are around air bases so a good percentage of them can be put down to experimental aircraft, but ALL of them?

The truth is out there. Trust no one.

We are extremely lucky to have survived this long on Earth considering all the deadly forces not just on this planet, but out in the cosmos. The idea that there is another species out there that has surpassed us is possible... but the notion does tend to ignore the killing factor of the Universe.

Some form of alien/ootw influence possibly?

Let's face it - any race that is intelligent enough to find their way here will be intelligent enough to bypass the place without stopping. Humans are not a 'good' race - just look what we've done to the planet and its resources, let alone to each other.

    Money rules.

If a  fraction of the wealthy nation's surplus was spent putting the rest of the world right, there'd be no destitute people in the world. Man is inherently selfish and aggressive - who the hell wants a part of that (except aforementioned rich types, to keep them that way).

No, I'm not a leftie - far from it, and in my youth and military service I was a far right, conservative type. I learned, though.

I'm just waiting for my good self and @vannagirl to be abducted by them. They only abduct superior human beings to study and there isn't a more superior man and woman on the planet. They'll probably want to see what happens when we procreate and I'm literally up for that lol :D

Ah - when I was about 15 or 16 I wrote a novel about aliens coming to earth, 'abducting' a human (me, of course!) and teaching him the ways of the galaxy.

Unbeknownst to us dopey humans, there was a battle between good and evil raging in space - and the baddies next stop was going to be Mother Earth. So the good guys had decided to 'enlighten' and fully train one of us, so he could build a seceret Earth Defence Force, recruiting only the most capable and qualified humans to join the fight and operating from a secret base in the Andes.

Of course, my number two was a very attractive young lady fighter (based on Erin Gray :p ) with whom I had a flaming passionate relationship (of course) and kept me occupied for many months, whilst my schoolmates were out blasting air pellets at each other on the heath.

Unfotunately, when I joined the army (at 16) I had a brain fart and just threw it away. Would love to be able to have a read of it now - if just to remind me of what a twonk I probably was at that age!

Whilst my sensible head accepts long range space travel may not be possible it will be a cold day in hell before I stop my flights of fantasy.... it is why Games like elite dangerous esp in VR will always be my go to favourite past time

And yes, I did just argue that crossing a dimension is more natural than traveling at the speed of light lol

Talking of Dimensions did you ever see this on YouTube?

The thing is though we don't know whether it's possible or not. Whilst there are problems with time, distance and FTL travel those can be solved with folding space or inter-dimensional travel. All of these things are currently science fiction, but who's to say that these things aren't going to be possible for us humans at some point in the future..?

And if it's possible for US some time in the future then it can be possible for alien races RIGHT NOW. :o B)
