Question

Can eye exercises help improve your vision?

I am starting to lose what good site I once had and by doing a bit of research I was looking for things to slow down this processes. It might be a load of rubbish, but I've read that regular eye exercise helps you to restore your vision. What do you reckon? I don't want to waste my time on an eye exercise if there's no evidence this actually works..

I can still manage to see pretty much anything on my phone or tablet, but I’ve had to get reading glasses to read small print on medication bottles and things like that. It sucks, but that’s life.

Same here had 20:20 vision most of my life until this past 6 months when I've suddenly noticed  decline and inability to read small print on medicins/meals for one microwave instructions! :-)

Have bought some 1.5x magnifying glasses from superdrug, and that make a huge difference for close up reading. my distance seems to be OK, but I've just booked into Specsavers for a complete test!

    Getting old sucks!

    Tell me about it lol.

There's also options of lens implants which is just as safe as Lasik but just involve in implanting a contact lens.

I've been doing eye exercises and last year my vision with nearsightedness lenses were like
at -7.25 and -7.50   but doing eye exercises for more then 7 months I am now at -6.25 and  -6.00

It does work and super easy to do and are not dangerous to perform at all.

It is super easy and you can do it anywhere just not while doing something like driving.
Keep your head motionless and pretend there is a ring around the perimeter of your sight.
Using both eyes follow the ring kinda slowly clockwise or counter clockwise does not matter but you have to look
and try to see past the perimeter of the fictional ring of your field of view.

Doing that will help stretch your eye muslces and will feel a lil sore each times you do it.

after 5 weeks then your eyes will no longer be sore and you might go back to older glasses that are not that strong.

I do the above exercise about 3 times a week or so.   I can feel my new lenses are a tad lighter that I got from Lenscrafters

The places you look around when doing the exercise that feel the most tight are the movements of the eyes you need to do the most of.

I was a bit sceptical at first but I have heard people genuinely benefiting from these exercises. I do what you do but I also blink for 1 minute constantly then close my eyes for 10 seconds. I also focus on some letters close up for 3 seconds and then some further away for 3 seconds. I do this ten times looking close up and further away. I eye muscles become weak due to age and exercises help..
