DaftnDirect says farewell to ModnProtect

I just saw that Daft decided to retire as a Moderator on the forums. We should take a moment to thank Mr. @DaftnDirect for his fine service as the Law.

I'm looking forward to seeing your contributions now that you've giving in to the calling, good sir.

Welcome to the swarm, Daft

I'm just one missing stapler away from burning this whole place to the ground.

Woke up. Started reading the forum.

The narrower the facial hair, the more problematic the social consequences
this has been born out in history

Weirdly BBC 4 is talking about Van Dyck right now. Wonder why the beard is called a Van Dyke as Dick doesn't have one.

It's named after Anthony Van Dyck, a 17th century painter. :)

Actually right now I have a full beard, because I'm lazy. But I shave it down every couple of weeks to a van dyke.

A rather close approximation (style and colour):

Except of course I look better. Obviously.

Although today I feel more like:

    if you get my meaning.

Exactly, surely it should be called a Van Dyck!
