I've only had issues with smooth turning in Minecraft.

Snap turning would not work well in a cockpit game.

Smooth turning your head is ok if you are stationary but if you are controlling, ie moving through the environment as well then it will make you chunder.

Apparently we all have different tolerances.

As I said, the only game that I had issues with in smooth turning was Minecraft. I turned snap turning back on.

I used Nolimits 2 (a rollercoaster simulator) to increase my tolerance. Just do something outside of your comfort zone every day. It is worth it.

Children shouldn't be using the Rift, apparently.

Roll/Yaw in flight sims is easy .. simply lean your body into the direction you're rolling/turning/pitching .. it fools the brain into thinking that the sensation is real. You dont have to do it a lot  .. just enough to set the inner ear to "somewhat" match what you're seeing.
