I’ve been in a hype-spasm since the initial tease was tweeted yesterday. I kept an eye on the live Twitch stream all day and evening, and was watching it when they finally showed the teaser trailer today. I’ll be watching their E3 conference with interest on June 10th, as I do every year since they started doing them.

Reliable rumour has it that it will be an online multiplayer survival game like Rust or Ark, but with quests and a story. Hopefully it will be possible to play it alone without constantly being griefed by other players. I’m not too keen on MP, but we’ll see what they show at E3.

i really am not a fan of competetive PvP in these kinds of games... it will almost certainly be relegated to bargain bin prices in 3 years time purchase if that is the case for me......
But if we can play in private groups with like minded folk OR play alone that will be superb. (which reminds me i must put the forest on my watch list for a sale!)
Fiat Coupe, gone. 350Z gone. Dirty nappies, no sleep & practical transport incoming. Thank goodness for VR :)

Agreed with the general MMO sentiment here. That said, I pumped over 300 hours into Destiny 1 & 2 without touching the PVP much and very limited co-op sessions. So there is hope.

I'm very much into taking my time and exploring rather than competitive play so won't be so happy if it doesn't have a strong single player mode with huge amounts of quest-filled post-apocalyptic loveliness to discover. I get a bigger sense of achievement if I'm not holding hands with other players or fighting off trigger-happy foul-mouthed teenagers. I sound old.

I won't go anywhere near it if there a) isn't a VR version and b) if there isn't a single player element.

I'm not a big fan of online multiplayer, never have been. If I wanted to be sociable and talk to people I wouldn't be sitting alone, at home, in the dark with a bloomin great big box strapped to my face. I'd go outside and talk to people.

Yeah I am not a fan of multiplayer myself - I really hope this has a single player only mode.

Looking at the trailer - it looks like it is still in the same engine and the graphics look about on par with Fallout 4. So I hope if it is multiplayer - it is something small, like up-to-4-player co-op.

If there is no VR - I am not to worried, I still like pancakes.

Fallout is a great franchise.  This trailer is stupid though, nothing but slow camera pans of stationary rooms.  No action or any hint of what is going on in game.  Might as well just be screenshots.  It looks like nothing special at all so far.  If it gets VR it will be an after thought, they'd be fools to focus on that as a  main part of the game, comparitively VR has no audience to advertise to, they ain't makin this for us, if 100% of vr owners bought the game it wouldn't cover their budget.  There are not enough of us yet  :(

Somebody mention Dead Island? That was good in VR. Had to use 3rd party utes, but was well worth the effort. Did make me feel a bit nauseous after half an hour or so - but that's half an hour of VR zombie slashing fun! :)
