Consider that the oculus store now has a game that requires a uplay account.

as a guy who has followed VR for quite some time I salute you guys for really kicking it off and getting the trend rolling. But there is a problem and that's the introduction of your controllers, their insane price and the competition! If I go over to steam and look at their VR head gear it has the controllers come as part of the package and at a reduced cost. Why on gods given earth would I pay more for the same thing. People aren't gonna make games for a headset and controllers when they know that the controllers WONT EVER GET USED. Instead they are gonna go for the product that COMES with them. So instead of purchasing nearly the amount of money I could use to buy a CAR I would rather purchase the one where I could almost buy a console. Because currently valve is offering the headset and their controllers AND THE TRACKING EQUIPMENT for a very nice and reasonable price! While you guy are charging an arm and a leg and my testicles to get both of them!So my question is why do this when

HelloI have minecrift installed but when i test-run minecrift using magic launcher it says that it is missing the "JMumble 1.11" library the official download at www.minecraft-vr.com has been forcibly taken down as i have heard so does anyone have the JMumble 1.11 library if so please reply with a download link in this discussion.

Hello dear forumMy name is Patrick Sommer and I am a top all around gamer here in Denmark, I have recently been using the Razer Hydra for competitive play (CS:GO, Overwatch etc. etc.), due to the Sixense Software (their own software) the right controller literally works like a mouse and have direct mouse input, which works extremely well. I was wondering if the same will be possible with the Touch, does anybody have knowledge about this? To those who wonder, this is completely without VR and any VR Headset, it's purely for control. I personally do not have the biggest of interest in VR, but I have a huge interest in motion controllers for PC.I know that the STEM System (same makers of the Razer Hydra) is pretty much what I am looking for, but so far they have not been great with communication and living up to promises from their kickstarter (which is from 2013), also they just added a number to an already extremely high price. Just a silly observation:When I pre-ordered Touch, I thought I'd do a FB-update with the classic You Got the Touch. But that got me thinking.The lyrics start with:"You got the TOUCH!""You got the POWER!!!"Nintendo named their hand-tracking system the POWERglove... And what did oculus name theirs? Am I really this slow to make this connection? Am I maybe over-thinking this? Hi, Im Emilio and I am a professor on history. I want to buy an oculus this year, but also i want to know if there is an application with historical sites, monuments, etc. I want to show my students how was the acropolis or the coliseum, that would be awesome for them. As we have the app to look the sky and see constellations, would be a nice idea to see historical and archeological places trhough time. Thanks

And even that is attached to Facebook strings ...Also it's weird how nobody cared about that kind of thing before - or if they did it didn't have any impact.

Movies, shows, random youtube videos, games, books, whatever...  if you could recreate a particular scene from any piece of media in VR to immerse yourself in that scene as though you were there, what would you pick?  Also, would you want to have the PoV of a character FROM that scene, or just view it as a bystander?Personally, I'm going to go with David Lynch's "Rabbits",  just sitting there in the living-room set with the rabbit people and trying to endure the sheer discomfort that Lynch was so good at provoking. :grimace: How about you guys?

recently I saw a really nice display stand for psvr which is made by a game accessories company. If you want great accessories for psvr all you have to do is go to Best Buy. If you want a display stand or any other accessorie for the rift you need to make it your self or have some one do it for you.  I know that console gaming is more popular but these game companies need to make accessories for PC too. 

I have an idea to start a project that would utilize a lotof data mining from multiple websites. Think of it the same way as pulling carinsurance quotes from a 3rd party vendor site, where they’reactually just a middle man quoting you from larger companies such asProgressive or Geiko. I never had dreams about being in VR until I got the Gear VR. Once I got the CV1, dreaming I'm in VR became more frequent. One time I actually fell asleep with my headset on and had a dream I was in VR. Imagine how I felt when I actually woke up and still had the headset on. I'm sure reading Ready Player One and watching Sword Art Online contributed to my dreams.Anyone else having dreams about being in VR? 

my panasonic plasma tv th-P60UT50A has a problem.it is a 3d tv and thats what i loved about it cause when i used the 3d on it 3 years ago it was awesome. the videos poped out of the screen and u felt like u could touch it. now when i try it the 3d stays in the tv doesnt pop out and in sbs videos it even hurts my eyes..i dont even know if im using the right glasses with it that came with the tv. the glasses model no is ty-er3d4ma  can u confirm that this is the right glasses. if these were the right glasses then is it the batteries that affect the 3d. cause i changed the batteries to something not panasonic in the glasses. do i need panasonic batteries for the glasses is that y the 3d isnt so good anymore?

And i Just had an idea from a dream that i had. i was trying to contact some one from this company but i could not find anything accept what I'm doing now. Without any further staling i shall tell you my idea. Imagine for moment you are someplace like Disney Land and you see a GPSVR on a sign, and so you go to it and you discover its a Global Positioning System with Virtual Reality using Oculas (if i spelled that right). Then you go in for a try and they put the glasses on you with out a game station to plug into. All it is, is when you look through the glasses you see our normal world (physical world), But when you turn it on, it has a GPS built in positioning where you are a where a 3D person or caricature is. so you walk around in this pre built physical world doing quests for the goblin that sits there, or how about the dwarf with the ax that try's to dual you. if

Oculus -I have this idea of creating a 2-in-1 single use vrgamecare pack, that cleans my Rift but also cleans my face after use. In addition to offering a hygiene product, the packaging could serve as marketing surface for game or product promotion. Hello all! I'll get right to the chase. We are a group of students who want to have access to an Oculus Rift to complete a research paper & research project on VR.Our idea is to assimilate VR into MODIHC(Model for Designing the Human Computer Interaction) and develop a virtual campus that people can download on the homepage to learn about the campus before enrolling/visiting/etc.We're from the University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez Campus, UPRM for short. Our team consists of three members: Joseph Gonzalez, Peggy Gonzalez, and Alfredo Pomales III. Since we saw a tab for Research on the Oculus Homepage we decided to see if maybe we can reach some sort of collaboration.We do not, unfortunately, have the means (financially) to purchase an Oculus Rift. We have the time, knowledge of Unity and Unreal Engine, and the community to produce a paper/project of the utmost quality. What we still do not have is the actual device. You know, like hands out in front of you, pantomiming holding a wheel?I ask, because like most of us I am definitely getting Touch when available, and I'm interested in games like Project Cars and DiRT and whatever other cool driving games come out, buuuuuut I'm not sure I have an adequate space to set up a proper racewheel peripheral  (or if I want to invest that kind of money in something I'll only use for a few games).Plus, I could imagine games where you'd both use a wheel AND occasionally want a hand free to manipulate other things.  Like a combat driving or GTA-style game where you could fire a handgun out the window while you drive, or a Kart Racer where you'd use Touch to aim / throw items.  Using touch to activate buttons on a vehicle dashboard or grab the stick-shift / e-brake could be cool, too.I'm imagining a system like.. you put your hands close enough to the wheel and press in one of the grip buttons to hold on, and then the nearest part of the wheel

I am sure this has been asked before, but I can't find it and need more answers, please. I have developed  for the DK2 and use Unity 5 Pro for developing my apps. What do I need know and what downloads / installs will I need (Oculus and Unity3D 5) to be able to turn out apps that are compatible for the commercial version please?

Does it matter in what order I change the drivers? For example should I remove the amd drivers first, reverting back to integrated gpu > pull old gpu > put in new one > install the latest drivers for the gtx; in that order, or does it even matter? May be a bit of a stupid question, but I'm curious.

You probably know that the GTX 1060 released today. The benchmarks look good--pretty well on par with the GTX 980 for most games, plus more VRAM and Pascal features like simultaneous multi-projection. Priced at $250-$300 USD, this seems like a great budget card for 1080p and VR gaming.I've got a 1080 SC in my main gaming rig, but I'm considering a 1060 for my little HTPC in my livingroom. I had originally planned to move my 980 SC to this PC when I got the 1080, but in the end I sold the 980 while I could get a decent price for it.This PC is built in a small mini-ITX case that sits in my under-TV cabinet, so lower power/heat is a consideration, and a blower-style cooler is necessary to avoid overheating the whole PC. Plus it's only driving a 1080p TV, so this card looks like a better overall choice than the 980 SC, and perfectly adequate for the use it gets rather than going for a 1070. I might occasionally drag my Rift downstairs and plug it into this PC once Touch comes out, for game

I know you can have half a game on one screen and the other half of the game on the other screen but wouldn't it be better to just get a 40 plus inch monitor/television ? what are some other things you can do with multiple monitors?
