Alright, my gtx 670s are definitely showing their age and i want to upgrade. And with speculation of the CV1 not showing up till late 15, early 16 and the gtx980ti probably now showing up till 2016 i think i want to ditch my sli 670 setup for a single 980.After a bunch of reading and checking benchmarks, a single 980 not only performs better, but i'll be reducing the power draw and heat on my system. This gives a better general performance by ditching my sli 670. Mind you i have the FTW 4gb version of these cards, so they are a tad better than the stock 670.Here is my disquiet, the gtx 980 has been out for a while now (6 months to my knowledge) whats the likely hood of Nvidia releasing a new card in the foreseeable feature? My current cards are just not quite cutting it for my DK2, especially in games like Elite Dangerous, and with the release of GTA 5 next month i feel like my cards are now holding me back. Hi All,I have been using my Rift in Extended Mode to play Elite Dangerous and Euro Truck Simulator 2. Whilst playing, I have also been able to record footage of my gameplay session using Fraps.However, I downloaded World of Diving and it will only run in Direct Mode. For some reason, it crashed and burns when you try to run it on extended mode.As a result, Fraps doesn't seem to recognise the gameplay and won't record anything.So my question is, can you record gameplay when the Rift is set to Direct Mode? If you can, what software should i be looking at?? OR...How do i get World of Diving running on Extended Mode?Thanks

Right, so I've been to every local hardware store, and no one sells this. Double ya tee eff. I finally put down the $50 in shipping/handling for 12 of these guys:Hoping to have the project this is for completed by March/April.. I hope. Details on the use of this notwithstanding, but the modification that this is used for, sold complete, would cost about $1500 USD. I can piece it together for $600. :roll:

So yeah, I custom built a full-sized, virtual pinball table. It also doubles as a jukebox and custom light show, all remotely controlled, of course! :) I'm very proud of it, even though it's not yet finished. I have a 1 TB drive I (used to) backup my projects onto, I turned it on today and all it does is click. Incidentally, it started having a weird single click on startup, starting about a month ago, I didn't realize that meant failure was going to happen soon, at least that's what people say and seems to be true. So I double zip-lock bagged the hard drive and put it in my freezer right in front of the air vents so it gets nice and cold. I've heard many people say they got this method to work, with very slow transfer rates, but it worked for them none the less. My project is already backed up and nothing else too important is on there so I'm definitely not trying to spend $3,000-$6,000 for a drive recovery, but there are things on there I'd love to be able to get off of there. Of course, all the people charging thousands of dollars for recovery are always there too saying it will never work, but too many people say it has worked for them for me to think this is a complete waste of ti

This is driving me nutts, not only do I have to log in every single time I click an email response, but I could be sitting here and reading a lengthy discussion only to have the forums kick me in the middle of reading and force me to log in again. Then I have to hunt down the discussion I was reading all over again. I have this happen pretty frequently. I've even been in the middle of posting a new discussion and then wham...back to the log in screen, and everything I typed is asta la vista.

I'm in the market for a good quality wireless headset for my PC. All I want is high quality sound with no noticeable latency. I don't care about fake surround sound features.
