Low Battery Warning only on standby

Hello, I speak French and it's an automatic translator that you are reading, I'm sorry

I updated my quest 2 and the low battery alert is only possible when waking from sleep. The 2 settings of this alert although very useful have been modified since the update and I no longer have the alerts in operation of the headset. I understand that this alert bothered pure gamers but it would have been appropriate to always be able to choose a setting during the operation of the headset. I'm not satisfied because the headset stops all of a sudden by displaying too late that the battery needs to be recharged. I wish that the great META would make a correction. If you agree with me please share

    Hi PadreLIIโ€‹ ๐Ÿ™‚

Actually, I don't believe this feature has been removed. I've never drained my headset battery to the point I got this pop up, so I'm not sure....... I can only compare it with other pop-ups and chat messages that I get while playing.

I still get pop-ups when my controller battries runs out of power, also the chat messages are still popping up, but......

.....all these pop-ups are no longer in front of me.  Many users were complaining about having these messages directly in their view because it's quit distracting if you try to shoot or hit some cubes.๐Ÿ˜…

So, now I can only see something in the corner of my eye and have to look up and to the right(you can also select the left corner in the settings) if I want to read these notifications or messages.

    In short:

Perhaps you simply missed the notification?

Thank you for the remarks made which may have escaped my vigilance.

To bring more precision to my analysis, here is the P1 screen view of the power supply settings in my quest 2.

The text is in French and here is the translation 'Low battery audio alert: If the battery is low, your headphones will emit a brief audio alert in sleep mode'

'Low battery voice alert: If the battery is low, your headset will give a brief voice alert a few seconds after you remove it'.

Even if I wonder about the difference between audio alert and voice alert, it is no longer a question of visual alert.

However, I remember the visual alert and I looked for the release notes about the battery. I'm currently on version 2.3.1020 build 5215047.3460.150. P2 screen view

You have to go back in time to July 24, 2023 with version 56, P3 screen view to find the visual alert.

As for the headset removal alert, it was an audio alert on July 29, 2024 with version 68 P4 screen view.

Finally, the only solution that can monitor the battery charge level is to bring up the new browser during a session to view the percentage remaining on the P5 screen.

    Quelle rรฉgression !

    What a regression!
