Missing my virtual homes after update

I updated my quest over night and was shocked my virtual environments all are missing. Is there a way back?
I don’t like the new ones especially in the foreground as they are not realistic, they don’t blend in, design from foreground to background is not aligned. Sadly it’s not a quality update.
I miss my original home environment, the dome - that was my first introduction to VR and I dearly miss it!
I miss my winter lodge, my balloons, my Japanese home, my space station, my very cyber punk futuristic apartment, my hobbit cave, my mountain campfire, my forest lodge …

Depending on the mood you could change them, now I feel a bit lost with the low quality environments (especially in the foreground) and my old themes missing.

I would have never updated had I know the environments will be gone.
Is there a way back? A hidden menu? Are there plans to integrate the old environments?

As long as you are not completely cut the Quest from going online, you can't avoid the update.

Maccyb123 mentioned a method to get the old environment back....temporary.

No going back, huh? 0 star rating on Amazon. Do not buy a product that will arbitrarily decide what you want and force it on you against your will.
I logged in to get away from the living environment I cannot get away from but hate but now, because the self decreed Meta gods decision I now have to continue looking at it through the cameras. No virtual reality anymore and no choice.

There is still a virtual environment..... just not the same as before.

I agree. The upgrade is horrible. I dont like that I am forced to use the immersive environment. I liked my mountain campsite. I am in an immersive environment everyday. I dont need a fake play one too. The upgrade has also interfered with my games performance. And what is up with passthrough? ick ick

I think it is absolutely pathetic to purchase a device and then have crap you don't want foisted on you. There should at least be a legacy mode. And what's with this freaking mirror/avatar BS? I didn't buy it to make myself look cute and socialize. I can mourn the loss of my favorite virtual environments. I especially like the space station. But I cannot stand that stupid mirror. How do I get rid of that????

There is no option to disable the mirror - or the worlds portal, which annoys me even more than the mirror🙄 - for now.

I hope this option will come with a future update...... I don't believe this will happen, though.🙁

The upgrade is not an upgrade its astep backward if i had known they were going to do this i would have turned the upgrads off ,will not recomend this system to anyone if this is what they are going to do on a regular basis.

they have replaced quality environments with gardage, Bring back the good ones and stop trying to manipulate what we watch, i have spent hours in the virtual. Invironnments and would like them back, if you want to get rid of something get rid of the mirror
