Question

More annoying than God Rays

It's the hottest day of the year in the UK and I've now counted 10 thunder flies walking around in my monitor... especially annoying on the white backgrounds which means most of the forum... I may have to avoid the forum until Autumn

best way to reduce this problem anyone???

I had a thunder fly under the screen. Got a bloody ultrawide 32 and this thing just kept walking around like he owned the place. It finally made it's way out.

However there is one tip that can possible solve it.

Buy a can of compressed air and try and blow the little buggers out to the moon and back.

Now I get why the people hangout in pubs in Europe & GB..No AC at home due to building regulations. I will not last 10 min on the rift without my AC & 2 fans blowing on me.

I've kind of found a way that works for me. For some reason, with my last monitor they stayed in place when they died.. may have something to do with static or something.. but it was an easy monitor to take apart and clean luckily.

The monitor I have now is much more expensive so not really going to open the thing up just yet. The good news is though the flies don't stick in place... so when they eventually die, I can just give the monitor a few medium thumps on the top and they drop down out of sight. Definitely don't flick the screen to kill them though as that does stick 'em in place!

Eventually I'll start seeing the silhouette of a pile of dead flies rising from the bottom of the screen.
