It's a 300$ toy, `fcourse i'm on it, even for those 2-3 exclusives. A night out drinkin' usually ends up that much if we go all out.
I mean, hell, ~5k spent on pc, over 1k on vr (yeah dk counts), and the game that sold me the rift, never actually made it to VR. Yeah, talking about hawk3n. Well, used the oculus for development too, but the time I jumped on vr, had no idea  or expectation it will return any profit whatsoever.
Won't likely develop for the switch but its cheap and zelda comes out for sure.
not exactly baffled with high spec hardware: enjoyed GTA5 for weeks. Was hooked on San Andreas for over a year. Really enjoyed indie title "The Fall" too.

People should have learnt it already:
It's not the hardware, it never was. Its the killer app. (Well, killer drivers if it comes to video cards? :P )
I like playing with "games for children" too, so nintendo stuff is a must for me.

Yes, it's the software, true. But Nintendo has become overly reliant on 1st party franchises at the expense of AAA 3rd party support.  Without that, you have to wait far too long between releases and people lose interest in the platform.  I'm glad that finally have seen the light and started publishing their 1st party titles on mobile phones.  Pokemon Go, SMB and Fire Emblem are great.  Success in mobile will underwrite their struggling hardware going forward.  Call it life insurance.

I'm definitely getting one. Seems really hard to pre-order, maybe there will be more stock after release. I don't mind if there aren't a ton of games, I'm fine with quality over quantity. I'll probably be set with Zelda for a while, especially considering all the PC/PS4 games I have already waiting to be played.

Stock levels in the UK are OK, can still pre-order at Amazon and a few other places. Might still get one on launch day, just want to make sure my PC's working first before getting one.

If Nintendo can get enough independent dev's onboard, along with the virtual console and a steady supply of 1st & 3rd party titles. The Switch should prove just as popular as the 3DS...

Ok, I could only tolerate about 45 seconds of that.

Agreed, it's a perfect example of the blinkered over reaction of uber-Nintendo fans. It will be interesting to see how the cloth puppet reacts as more of the online "limitations" of the system appear!
