Nintendo Switch Yay or Nay?

Was up until 3am playing on Zelda: Breath of the Wild... wow, just wow... there's a Skyrim, or Fallout 4 epicness about it, but more so. Also bought the DLC, so Link now has his Switch tee-shirt

Also got Fast RMX, an updated version of Fast Racing Neo off the Wii U, but with double the content... Good game and loads of arcade fun.

Hardware, the Joy-cons are diminutive. In Handheld mode, the R-stick is under the joint on my thumb. Didn't take long to get used to holding the Switch at a slight angle, so moving from buttons to R-stick is more like using a standard controller. The Joy-grip works well enough. I used that, with the Switch connected to my projector for a few hours without issue.

Think the Pro controller is going to be a definite purchase for most owners. The joy-cons work, but the layout & size isn't quite right.

Overall, very happy with the Switch

I just saw this video going to the front page of reddit:

Maybe a word of warning to be careful getting those controllers stuck and scratching the screen o: Looks like putting a screen cloth on the plastic dock is a good idea! :)

The fact that a $300 device has a plastic screen is just pathetic.

There are too many bugs and reliability is questionable.  Then there is the left controller not working right because your hand blocks the antenna.  I did see a video where a dude soldered a piece of wire inside the left controller and it worked 30 ft away.  Until Nintendo revises the design and such.  I won't touch it with a 10 ft pole.  Plus $399 CAD.  And small amount of games available.  Not worth it!!!

I might buy one of these for my son's 5th birthday in December.  Maybe.  Age appropriate and all.  ;)

wow it is a sad release day for some.

To be most honest, the cost the accessories the game pricing, Nintendo are asking for steak prices while giving you tinned beef, the plastic screen and stuck pixels i read elsewhere, very good idea to wait and see how switch plays out now

I was able to try this last night. And I have to say, it is pretty awesome. My buddy owns it and was playing through Zelda for over an hour. I really want one. The design of this device is genius.
