Non-official Oculus downtime venting and mayhem thread

I am angry about this certificate-related bricking of my Oculus Rift. I am very, very angry about it.

its a good thing im on holiday now while the rift is down, but it is kinda scary how hardware that you bought can be made invalid like like this

This solution has been posted before, but I can play just fine with the little prog "RunAsDate". Until the official fix is out, you can at least play the games in your library.

-Stop the "OVRService" in Task-Manager->Services
-Copy the files from the "runasdate-x64.zip" in the "...\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime" folder.
-Run "RunAsDate.exe" inside the folder.
-Click "Browse..." to choose the "OVRServer_x64.exe".
-Under "Date/Time" I chose 07.03.2018 03:00:00.
-Tick the box "Immediate Mode...".
-Click "Run".
-Start the Oculus Client.

This works just fine for me and you don't risk to get issues with other programs as it doesn't change the system time.

And here I was feeling good about playing with my dog and watching Lady and the Tramp with my daughter while this disturbance in the force continues....
