Been playing Monster Hunter World on PS4 lately so my Rift has been neglected the last few weeks... Surprised to read a headline saying all Rifts had died! D: Will check tonight when i get home if it has been fixed by then. Some people were demanding compensation and while i generally don't agree with that kind of thinking, it IS kinda serious if every single one of your users was unable to play.
I don't see anyone getting compensation for when PSN gets DDoS, or goes down for maintenance.
Sure it's nice when they do, but it's not necessary.
OUCH this is going to hurt them on creds! May translate in lost sales with such a cautious fickle market, this is not a small oops this is biggie! I still love my rifts but this is big BAD!
Wow. As a ex-controls engineer and current computer programming major in college, I can verify this is an insane amount of downtime. Someone should DEFINITELY have their ass chewed for this. #1 "You're telling me you didn't test this before you pushed it out?" #2 "Why can't you revert to a working version? What do you mean you trashed the backup?" #3 "It's a certificate problem? Issue new certificates or patch in a temporary bypass!" Those are just the three that pop off the top of my head I'm sure there are others. This is coming up on 24 hours and my RMA nerve is getting twitchy. The only thing keeping me from taking a trip to Best Buy ASAP is that I really liked the Oculus and I want mine back. NOW. By the way Oculus upper management, serious damage has been done to your brand at this time. The longer this continues to be an issue, the worse it will get. When you start getting those RMA's from retail stores it will be like the guy standing on the deck of the Titanic and feeling a chunk of ice hit him on the shoulder. By that time, you are already too late.
